Privacy NoticeBen Shephard has been accused of being unfair to a contestant on the latest episode of Tipping Point. As three new players lined up to take on the coin machine and tackle some trivia questions, fans were quick to criticise one particular question aimed at Triage worker Tracy from County Durham. During a timed question that would allow Tracey to bank a coin for the machine, she was asked: “As a result of the 2017 general election in the UK, which conservative politician remained as Prime Minister?” Tracy quickly asked: “Sorry, what year was it?” before Ben began reading the entire question again, instead of just specifying the year itself. Before he could finish the question the timer had already finished, preventing her from answering the question at all.

Fans felt Tracy was treated unfairly

Fans were quick to slam host Ben, saying he “did her dirty”. “That was really unfair to her to repeat the whole question Ben def screwed her there,” blasted one fan. “Tracy asked for the year, not the whole f**king question again, Ben!” penned a second. A third added: “You did her dirty there Ben, she only asked for the year to be repeated not the whole question. #tippingpoint” while another wondered: “Maybe the #tippingpoint rule is you can only have whole questions repeated?”

Ben has been hosting the show since 2012

It didn’t seem to affect her game though as Tracy went into the next round with personal trainer Matt after sending third player Bill home. After battling it out Tracy squeezed into the final with £2250, reports the Express. Viewers of the show were left with a lot to talk about as player Mike repeatedly cheered on the machine by exclaiming “come on baby” in a recent episode. This followed a previous show which saw fans getting so irritated by another contestant who couldn’t stop shouting “Come on baby! ” every time she placed her counters, that they demanded she be disqualified. The moment turned controversial when she kept egging her tokens on, hoping for the perfect drop, prompting fans to voice their feelings on X (formerly Twitter). One user posted, “…And where’s the ‘Come on baby’ instant disqualification klaxon.” Another expressed their shock as they questioned: “Did she say ‘come on baby’?” Ben has been keeping fans entertained for over a decade, having hosted the ITV gameshow since 2012. As well as this, Ben was given a permanent presenter role on This Morning in March, alongside co-host Cat Deeley.
