Privacy Notice Former Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice beamed with his dance partner Bianca Guaccero ahead of starring on a new dance show, following his exit from the hit BBC show this summer. The Italian dancer, 34, who is no longer a part of the UK show, smiled as he posed up a storm for the new dance show he’s starring on. Giovanni is now starring as a professional in the Italian version of Strictly Come Dancing, called Ballando con le Stelle, where he is paired with Italian actress and TV presenter Bianca. She looked sensational as she struck a dancer-style pose alongside her new partner Giovanni while wearing a figure-hugging black mini-dress for the new show’s photocall.

The update comes after Giovanni’s exit from Strictly this summer, following claims made by Amanda Abbington after their pairing in last year’s show. The Sherlock actress alleged that she suffered from PTSD from their training. Giovanni rejects the allegations. Meanwhile Giovanni is currently showcasing his moves on Italy’s version of Strictly, Ballando con le Stelle. His 43-year-old Italian partner Bianca recently revealed her first dance on the show will be a Tango. She told Mail Online: “I want to say thank you to Giovanni’s fans – you are a lot of people – and I want to say thank you also for all your love that you are showing to me in these days. It’s incredible and so I want to show you my gratitude for all these feelings that are around me in this moment and I hope to visit you very, very soon in London, maybe with Giovanni or with my best friends.” Ballando con le Stelle is an Italian dance competition where professional dancers are paired with a celebrity in a bid to impress judges and win the show – an incredibly similar format to Strictly which Giovanni waved goodbye to just months ago.

In a video posted to Instagram, captioned “Update,” Giovanni explained his current situation from where he is now in Rome and spoke about his new celeb dance partner. He told his followers: “Just a quick update with life in Rome. This week is the week of the first live show, which is very exciting. Bianca’s doing very, very well.” Answering the outpouring of fan question about him leaving the UK, Giovanni said: “I received lots of messages as well, saying, ‘Giovanni, why do you leave the UK?’ I haven’t left the UK at all. In actual fact, I’m back on Sunday for the dance class.” He also teased his return to UK soil very soon and upcoming projects, adding: “And not just that… I’ll be in the UK throughout October, November, and December as well, and then back on tour in January until July.” In his video, the dancer reassured fans that despite his commitments in Italy, he remains dedicated to his UK projects. “For now, I’m very excited for Ballando con le Stelle. The dance is going very, very well.” Giovanni departed Strictly after his 2023 celebrity partner Amanda voiced her grievances regarding Giovanni. An investigation was launched by the BBC, with the results yet to be made public.

This year new details emerged about alleged “abusive behaviour” behind-the-scenes that led Amanda to exit the show after initially citing “personal reasons.” She also lodged a complaint against the BBC programme, accusing Giovanni of “abusive behaviour”. Giovanni has denied the allegations. “As you know, I have always rejected any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour,” he said. “The latest accusations are simply false.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
