Privacy NoticeStrictly Come Dancing’s Nadiya Bychkova had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction during her Cha Cha with celebrity partner Tom Dean. The Olympic swimmer and his dance partner were the first to hit the dance floor this week, grooving to Earth, Wind and Fire’s Boogie Wonderland. However, halfway through their routine, Nadiya’s costume got caught, causing her to stumble slightly. Despite the hiccup, they continued with their performance, which didn’t go unnoticed by the judges. Shirley Ballas was quick to point out the “tiny mishap”, attributing it to Nadiya. Tess Daly then elaborated on the incident for viewers who might have missed it, saying: “We had a little costume malfunction! It ripped on her leg.” Nadiya showed where the costume had torn, with both her and Tom laughing off the incident.

Despite the mishap, Shirley praised Tom for how he “coped and carried on”. Craig Revel Horwood, however, wasn’t as forgiving, criticising Tom for “lacking fluidity”, resulting in a score of just 20 points, reports the Mirror. However, viewers on X, formerly known as Twitter didn’t seem to agree with the judges decisions, especially Craig, who gave them a low 3. “Very impressed with Tom and Nadiya. He’s so good and has some natural movement. The 3 from Craig was so unnecessary!” exclaimed one, as another demanded: “CRAIG U TAKE THAT THREE BACK FROM TOM AND NADIYA RIGHT NOW!” “I really enjoyed Tom and Nadiya’s cha cha. He’s DEFINITELY improving which I really love to see. His hips could’ve moved more, as could his arms. It felt a bit stiff and jerky. But much better than last week, good job Tom. 6 from me,” said another ‘at home judge’.

Strictly Come Dancing continues to entertain as the celebs compete each week to impress the judges and viewers at home. In the first week, JLS star JB Gill stole the show with his delightful Waltz to Leo Sayer’s ‘When I Need You’ alongside pro dancer Amy Dowden, bagging a whopping 31 points. Amy made a victorious comeback to the show after being unable to compete last year due to her recovery from stage three breast cancer. On the flip side, singer Toyah Willcox and her partner Neil Jones didn’t fare as well. Their Tango to Madonna’s ‘Ray Of Light’ left much to be desired, earning them a mere 12 points. But as we all know, things can turn on a dime in Strictly, so who will be the first to bid adieu to the competition this weekend?Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
