The One Show host was first linked to the production assistant last month following a Le Petit Maison date in Mayfair. The rumour mill went into overdrive when Carmen was pictured with a huge ring on her finger, though confirmation from the ex-Capital Breakfast presenter has yet to come. A source said to MailOnline: “Roman has popped the question and Carmen said yes. Roman has long wanted to settle down and start a family so it’s such an exciting time for them. He’s been seeing Carmen for a few months now and feels strongly she is the one. Roman’s mum Shirlie is also over the moon and has been telling friends how excited she is for the wedding.”

Roman shared pictures on holiday with a mystery woman

Back in April 2023, following a trip to Costa Rica, he shared two snaps featuring a mystery woman. Both pictures were taken from behind so as to preserve her identity. However, the woman does look very like Carmen, sharing the same long blonde hair. The One Show host tends to keep his relationships out of the spotlight. However, he has occasionally shared sneak peeks inside his love life. Between 2018 and 2020, Roman was in a relationship with Swiss scientist Anne-Sophie Flury, which remains the only romance he has publicly confirmed. Roman and Sophie reportedly matched on Tinder, but called time on the relationship after three years during the COVID-19 lockdown. In 2022, Roman opened up about his love life as he reflected on his parents Martin and Shirlie Kemp‘s 36-year marriage. He told OK! at the time: “Don’t get me wrong, I come from a family of romance. My grandparents were together from when they were 16 and they died on the same day, then you’ve got my mum and dad who have been together for so long.

“In an ideal world I’d meet someone in the middle of the street but that’s not reality. But I need to sort myself out first. I’m not ready to think about someone else until I can sort my own head out.” Roman also opened up about what he’s looking for in a partner when he appeared on the Diary of a CEO podcast. Speaking to host Steven Bartlett, he admitted: “Women that have their life plan and are busier, that attracts me more than anything. You look at the girls I’ve dated in the past, they’re girls that are doing their own thing and they’re [expletive] good at it.” Roman added: “It’s one of the reasons, to be totally honest with you, that I don’t really date English girls, ever. I love someone not knowing what I do for a living. I love someone not caring at all.”

Back in 2017, Roman was dumped by his ex-girlfriend who mistakenly thought he was having an affair with his then-Capital Breakfast co-host Vick Hope, after he rushed to help her with an emergency fashion faux pas on the red carpet. Roman told Metro: “My favourite story, I was dating someone about three years ago. I had a Greek girlfriend, she didn’t read the papers or really know what I did for a living. It was a nightmare. We had to go to the MTV EMAs Vick and I, and on the red carpet, Vick’s dress completely fell open.” Roman noticed the incident happen and ran over to help Vick out, doing up the back of her dress. However, the moment was caught on camera with photos ending up in all the newspapers. The Brits presenter said: “The girlfriend I had at the time, the Greek girlfriend who had no idea what I do or my relationships with anyone, saw this photo, flipped out and then didn’t really like me again.
