Privacy Notice Pete Wicks had viewers of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins seriously concerned for his health this week after scenes of him collapsing aired during the latest instalment of the intense show. Pete, who’s currently wowing audiences on Strictly Come Dancing, filmed the challenging military-style course last year alongside celebs like Ovie Soko, Marnie Simpson, and Bianca Gascoigne. In the episode, Pete, 36, was left reeling and ‘dizzy’ from pushing himself too hard during a task. The challenge saw the celeb recruits divided into pairs and tasked with dragging 130 pounds of equipment in a gruelling race across three kilometres of frosty, snow-covered ground. Comedian Tez Ilyas, teamed up with Pete, had to bow out when DS staff deemed him a “safety problem” mid-task, which meant Pete had to lug all the gear by himself.

DS Billy Billingham encouraged Pete to press on, but the reality TV star’s pace dropped as fatigue set in, with Pete muttering, “I’m dizzy,” before collapsing into the snow. DS Billy advised him to hydrate and finish the race, yet Pete found it tough to rise and carry on. Billy spurred Pete on, saying: “Let’s go, you look like a shower of s**t,” and then confided to the camera, “He ain’t gonna make it. He’s gonna die.”, reports the Mirror. Medical staff were quick to intervene and escorted him back to base camp for a check-up, as Billy worried he accidentally caused Pete serious harm. The medics eventually gave him the green light to continue with the tough challenge, but warned that another incident would lead to his compulsory withdrawal. Although Pete felt dizzy, he was frustrated about not completing the task and was determined to carry on regardless of the risks.

“I don’t find it easy relying on other people. I rely on me. Yeah, a bit of a lone wolf, really. I’m not very good at letting people in on stuff, because I feel like it’s my problem and I should be able to deal with it. And that’s not right, because in the end, all you’re doing is creating a bigger f**king hole for yourself, aren’t ya? ” he confessed to the camera. Upon his return, the other recruits were clearly pleased, with Rachel Johnson commenting: “The Messiah has returned.” Managing to make light of the situation, Pete then joked: “F**k me. I’ve got more lives than a f**king cat.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
