The fabulous TV star Ferne McCann has been revealed as the first contestant to join the frosty fray. Speaking exclusively to GMB, Ferne gushed: “I’m so excited, it’s going to be a huge challenge but I’m excited for the glitz and glamour of the show.” Best known for her stint on The Only Way Is Essex, Ferne isn’t shy of a challenge. She’s no stranger to reality TV competitions, having braved the jungle in the fifteenth series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! where she clinched third place. Mollie Pearce

Traitors star Mollie Pearce was the second celebrity to be announced as part of the lineup. Lorraine Kelly revealed the contestant on her show, with Lorraine calling her a “brave soul”. She said: “I’m raring to go now, the thought of it is scary but I just want to get started.” She called radio presenter Adele Roberts her “inspiration” for taking part. Mollie had been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis aged 11. She said she wanted to show how people can live a “full, happy life” and she has always been able to “adapt”. She added: “It will be fun, I want to challenge myself, I’m ready for the challenge.” Sir Steve Redgrave

Olympic star Steve Redgrave was announced on This Morning as the third contestant. Talking exclusively to This Morning, Sir Steve said: “It’s like going back to being an athlete again, I’ve been competing most of my life.” He added: “There has been a lot of doubt in my mind. We have been encouraged not to [practice]. Our formal training is two hours a day, every day, you’re not allowed to do any more.” He also said as the “heaviest” star on the show, it could pose some challenges. Sam Aston

Soap legend Sam Aston was named as the fourth contestant to sign up and they opened up to the This Morning hosts about the task ahead. He said: “I can’t say it’s something I always wanted to do. I never thought about it in the past. They were really lovely, it was very laid back and that was it.” He said coming into Corrie as a young child he had never thought about taking part in a reality TV show. Now, with children of his own, he was eager to make his kids proud. He added: “I’m nervous, don’t get me wrong, but I’m excited. It’s going to be nice for the public to see me for me rather than Chesney.” Charlie Brooks

Charlie Brooks famously played Janine Butcher in EastEnders and was the fifth celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series of Dancing on Ice. Talking exclusively to Loose Women, Charlie said: “I’m going to embrace the spray tan.” Charlie, who won I’m A Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here! in 2012, and the Strictly Come Dancing: Christmas Special in 2011, added: “All I want to do is enjoy it and try not to break my leg.” Josh Jones Comedian Josh Jones is the sixth celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series. Talking exclusively to Gaydio Josh said: “I’ve not got any skating experience whatsoever, I did it once for a date years ago and I wasn’t very good, I was holding onto the railings the entire time and we aren’t together now. “My dancing isn’t great either, for a gay man I have no rhythm, I struggle to clap along to a beat so this will be fun.”

Anton Ferdinand Footballer and Pundit Anton Ferdinand is the seventh celebrity confirmed. Talking exclusively to talkSPORT Radio, Anton said: “I decided to sign up for the show because it’s a challenge first and foremost. I’m in a new phase of my life since retiring from football and one of the things I’ve missed about playing is the structure it gives you. “Dancing On Ice will give me that focus but I’m also doing it for my daughter because she loves dance and performing arts. My son always had my football to shout about so this will give my daughter and me something to share.”

Chelsee Healey The eight celebrity confirmed for Dancing on Ice is actress Chelsee Healey. Chelsee, who is best known for playing Goldie McQueen in Hollyoaks, spoke to Heart Radio about her upcoming journey on the ITV show. She said: “I’m ready, I’m good to go, let’s go! I’ve got a bit of rhythm but skating on ice is completely different, I’m excited. I”‘m most excited for the live shows, getting to perform live every week will give me a buzz, I can’t wait for the live shows.”

TOWIE star Dan Edgar is the ninth celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series of Dancing on Ice. Talking exclusively to Heart Radio, Dan said: “I’m looking forward to it but the thought of the live shows and performing is very real. “I like to think I can ice skate a little bit but I’m a terrible dancer so that bit is going to need some work.” Chris Taylor

Reality star and Presenter Chris Taylor is the tenth celebrity confirmed for Dancing on Ice. Talking exclusively to Heart Radio, Chris said: “I’m somewhere between absolutely terrified and very excited and I keep flitting between the two quite aggressively throughout the day. I’ve not even started stretching yet, I need to. “I can skate but my dad got the snakehips, unfortunately I didn’t inherit that genetically from him.” Michaela Strachan

The eleventh person taking part in the new series of Dancing on Ice is TV presenter Michaela Strachan. Talking exclusively to Lorraine, Michaela said: “It’s going to be a big challenge the last time I was on ice was four years ago when I took the kids, I’m not one of those people who holds onto the sides I guess because I was trained as a dancer I’ve got a bit of balance. “I’ve always been one of those people who says yes, I’ll do that.” Dame Sarah Storey Paralympic grand champion Dame Sarah Storey is the twelfth celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series of Dancing on Ice.
