Privacy NoticeCharlotte Crosby can’t wait to welcome her second child into the world after announcing that she’s pregnant once again – and admits that she has a strong feeling of what her bundle of joy could be. “I’ve got a boy vibe,” the Geordie Shore star smiles. “I’ve had a boy vibe from the beginning. I just woke up one day and thought, ‘I’m having a boy.’ I can’t wait to have this baby – and now I’m at 21 weeks, I can finally talk about it!” The reality TV star, who shares one-year-old daughter Alba with her fiance Jake Ankers, is hoping that she’s right about the baby’s gender – particularly for Jake’s sake. “If I do have a boy, I’m going to be so excited to see Jake’s reaction because he would absolutely love to have a boy,” says Charlotte, 34.

“He has wished for this all of his life – he would just want a little boy to be able to take to football and do all of the boy things with. So if we have a boy, I’d be so happy for Jake.” Charlotte was keeping her happy news under wraps until late September, when she shared her pregnancy on social media. However, she doesn’t know how the secret didn’t come out. “I did tell a lot of people. I was filming a show with the BBC and I just said on set, ‘Listen, I’m pregnant. I’m really struggling, I’m too hot,’” she laughs. “I was shouting it. I don’t know how it stayed a secret for that long.” Charlotte may be preparing for the arrival of her second child, but she currently has another baby to boast about – Paramount+ series Aussie Shore. Thirteen years after she made a name for herself on Geordie Shore, Charlotte is returning to the franchise to star in its Australian cousin as the chaotic cast’s boss.

Charlotte is taking on a new role in Geordie Shore spin-off Aussie Shore – and this time, she’s the boss

Tasked with sending the outrageous singles out to work when they’re not clubbing and canoodling in Queensland, Charlotte admits that she’s happy to retire from partying and take on this new responsibility. “It was so good because I got to have all the nostalgia of when I first went in again but I didn’t have to get involved,” she says. “It was the best job I’ve had in a while.” When Charlotte joined Geordie Shore at 19, she went onto create some of the show’s most shocking moments – from sleeping with Chloe Ferry to accidents in bed with Gaz Beadle. However, the TV star reveals that the new Australian generation are even raunchier. “They are wild. Me and Sophie [Kasaei] watched it together a few days ago and we were watching through our hands saying, ‘Were we as crazy as this?’” she laughs. “In Geordie Shore, you saw a lot of drunk moments – people falling over – but in Aussie Shore, it’s X-rated wild. There’s a lot of bed-shaking.”

Whether they are stripping off or performing sexual deeds outside, the cast of twenty-somethings aren’t afraid to get dirty – which Charlotte reckons is down to growing up with reality TV. “We went on Geordie Shore and there was no reality TV for us to watch and think, ‘That was wild but we’ve got to be wilder.’ We were completely authentically ourselves, we weren’t trying to be like anyone else,” she says. “These guys have grown up watching every single reality TV show you can possibly get – they’ve got knowledge of all this craziness and they went out of their way to just out do it. They are half naked all the time and twerking – we were never that confident.” Despite their antics, Charlotte felt “very motherly” towards them. “They’re all about 10 or 12 years younger than me. I love them all – you can expect a really loveable cast who you’ll get invested in and all of their house relationships are so interesting with all the drama that unfolds. Expect to be shocked because I am from Geordie Shore and I am shocked.”

Kyle Tierney is also in the cast of Aussie Shore, who Charlotte warns are ‘wilder’ than ever

Charlotte flew over to Australia last year to film – and took Jake and Alba along with her. “They were there the whole time and I’d have the whole afternoon with them,” she smiles. “We explored Cairns and did loads of different day trips. Alba was fine – the jet lag didn’t seem to faze her and she was sleeping a lot during the day.” If the show returns for another series, Charlotte will bring baby number two to the ‘Land Down Under’ – and admits that she may need some more help. “It will be shortly after the birth that we’ll all be on a plane to Australia so I hope the new baby is ready because they don’t know what they’re letting themselves into,” she laughs. “I might have to fly my mum out for a portion of time because for Jake to have two kids alone while I’m working, it is a lot to ask someone. He has to book a lot of holiday for his own job and misses out on his work. Looking after two kids every single day by yourself in a foreign place would be hard.”

Charlotte reveals that she would like a Caesarean section to deliver her second baby, which is how she delivered her first child Alba

Charlotte admits that despite “struggling so much with Alba”, she is enjoying the pregnancy this time around. “When you already have a baby, you just have to be alright – because you don’t have any time to lie on the settee and feel ill,” she says. “Even though I’d love to, you can’t when you have a toddler.” As for the birth, Charlotte is planning on delivering via Caesarean section again after being put off natural birth. “You can have a natural birth after a C-section but you have to go through quite a lot of things because there’s a worry that you’ll tear all of the scars. I don’t have any urge to want to push a baby out so that’s not happening,” she says. “I met a South African woman on holiday when I was heavily pregnant and when I told her I was having a C-section, she was jumping around celebrating. I was like, ‘That’s not the reaction you would get in the UK – it’s almost frowned upon that you wouldn’t want to give birth naturally.’ She was so gobsmacked.” While Charlotte is loving motherhood, she’s hoping that Alba and the new baby don’t pick up the new catchphrase that she’s taken from Aussie Shore. “When we were on Geordie Shore, we had ‘tashing on’ and ‘let’s get mortal’ and they really caught on. On Aussie Shore, they always say c**t,” she says. “They say it so nonchalantly and I wanted to say it all the time afterwards! But it’s a really bad word to say, it’s really frowned upon in England. I don’t know how they got away with all them c**ts!
