The actress, 36, best known for playing Stacey Slater on the BBC soap for the past twenty years, beamed as she hit the red carpet for the annual star studded night in soap land. Lacey stepped out in a glamorous black and gold maxi dress, paired with a old necklace and open toe black heels to celebrate with her EastEnders co-stars in London, who also took home the award for Best Showstopper.

She took to the red carpet along with EastEnders co-stars Kellie Bright, Letitia Dean, Diane Parish, Gillian Taylforth and Balvinder Sopal, as they showed off their gong from the night. They won for the show’s scenes this year, which saw Linda Carter kill Keanu Taylor and kick off a much-talked about murder conspiracy which had fans gripped this year . The glitzy appearance came just hours after Lacey announced that she was pregnant with her third child. Taking to social media to reveal the happy news in a heartwarming post, the soap star shared photos of her and her family with her pregnancy scan, and wrote: ““Aren’t we lucky….. @thekayoskids” followed by three heart emojis. Fans and famous faces were quick to send their congratulations, with fellow EastEnders star Patsy Palmer writing: “Congratulations beautiful girl & family . Yes you are very lucky and a wonderful mum so lucky them too… love you and can’t wait for big hugs again soon.”

EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa also sent her love, commenting: “So special ! Congratulations angel all of you!! Beautiful x.” Fans also sent their love, while speculating that the news might mean a break for character Stacey from the soap: “Congratulations to you all Gutted that will also mean Stacey won’t be in EastEnders for awhile x” This will be Lacey’s third child, as she already shares two adorable children, five-year-old Dusty, and three-year-old Trilby with husband Matt Kay, who she married in 2017.

Away from Albert Square, they live in Herfordshire , where the star previously gave OK! an exclusive tour of her home – which includes quirky design choices, from unique wall art to upcycled furniture. The 29th Inside Soap Awards also saw Coronation Street take home the biggest prize, beating EastEnders and Emmerdale to win the coveted Best Soap award.
