Privacy Notice On Tuesday’s episode of Loose Women, drama unfolded when Ruth Langsford unexpectedly had to halt the broadcast. The panel was deep in a chat with EastEnders icon Charlie Brooks about her exciting new challenge on Dancing on Ice when suddenly Ruth interjected, “I’m really sorry but I’m going to have to stop you there and to everybody else, we are going to have to take a break.” In the midst of Charlie sharing why she’s lacing up her skates, Ruth announced: “I’ve just been told that we’ve got a fire alarm going off in the building.”

As the trademark Loose Women theme tune kicked in, astonishment echoed from Charlie, while Ruth clarified: “Obviously, protocol dictates that we need to leave the studio.”  However, producers then informed Ruth it was a false alarm as she held her ear piece and said: “Oh no! I’ve just been told it’s all fine now. Don’t panic!”  With laughter rippling through the audience, Ruth attempted to steer back to their talk with a surprised Charlie who exclaimed: “Ok, that was dramatic! Oh my goodness.” Ruth playfully suggested it was all part of prepping her for the rink theatrics ahead. Charlie joins the star-studded lineup for ITVs ice extravaganza slated to premiere soon, reports the Express.

The line-up for the much-anticipated return of Dancing on Ice is shaping up with some exciting names, including reality star TOWIE, Traitors’ Mollie Pearce, Olympic legend Sir Steve Redgrave, and Coronation Street’s very own Sam Aston. Charlie shared her enthusiasm, saying: “I’m going to embrace the spray tan! All I want to do is enjoy it and try not to break my leg.” Talking to This Morning on Monday, Sam, who has Sonny, four, Daisy, two and four-month old Hazel with wife Briony Gardner said: “I’m nervous but excited to get going.” He added: “It’s going to be nice for the public to see me for me rather than Chesney.” Former TOWIE star Ferne was the first contestant to be announced for the new series of the show, after rumours had been circulating about her participation in the show. She said on Good Morning Britain: “I’m so excited, it’s going to be a huge challenge but I’m excited for the glitz and glamour of the show.” Fans will have to wait a bit longer for their fix of glitz and glamour on the ice as Dancing on Ice is slated to make its comeback on ITV and ITVX in 2025.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
