Privacy NoticeThe Traitors’ star Mollie Pearce has split from her boyfriend Max Backwell after a three-year romance. Mollie rose to fame on Claudia Winkleman’s hit BBC show earlier this year, as she famously lost out on the £95,150 cash prize due to believing her best friend in the show Harry Clark was a Faithful. Harry and Molly’s close bond on the show had viewers speculating a romance, however, their relationship was strictly platonic, as they were both in relationships on the outside. Mollie was in a long-term relationship with Max, who she met through her brother, however, she’s now confirmed to MailOnline that the two have gone their separate ways, although she confirmed they were still good friends.

“After a number of happy years together Max and I have decided to part ways. It was amicable and we’re both still friends,” she told the publication. A source added: “Mollie and Max loved their time together but they’re both young and the relationship they shared reached a natural end.” It comes after Mollie was announced as one of next years’ celebrity competitors on Dancing On Ice, which sources say Max will still be supporting. “They both support each other in everything they do and Max is really excited to watch Mollie on Dancing On Ice given he knows how much the opportunity means to her,” they said. Mollie was named as the second contestant to star in the new series of the ITV show earlier next year, shortly after TOWIE star Ferne McCann’s announcement was made.

Talking to presenter Lorraine on her upcoming gig, Mollie shared: “It will be fun, I want to challenge myself, I’m ready for the challenge.” And the reality star already has a move in mind that she’s hoping to take on, admitting: “I really want to do the headbanger”. Mollie was born with a limb difference on her right hand and now wears a stoma bag following a life-changing surgery at 18 years old to treat her ulcerative colitis – a painful, inflammatory bowel disease. When revealing she would be taking part in Dancing On Ice, Lorraine questioned whether Mollie’s limb difference would impact her dancing on the ice, as she responded: “I’ve never let it get in the way before so I won’t start now, I’m sure me and my partner will figure it out”. It won’t be Mollie’s first time on the ice as she shared: “My mum used to take me when I was young,” but confirmed she hasn’t skated for ‘years’.
