Privacy NoticeEmmerdale fans are convinced they’ve sussed out who Tom King will try to frame for his attack, and they’re ruling out Belle and Vinny Dingle. Sinister Tom (played by James Chase) has been tormenting his ex-wife Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) with psychological games and violence for months. After bravely sharing her terror with the family and leaving, Belle is determined to escape his toxic grip. But drama hit a new high last week as Belle had to fight back against Tom, which shockingly led to her whacking him with an axe. Initially, Belle thought about owning up, but her Dingle family persuaded her to keep things under wraps.

Emmerdale fans are convinced they know who Tom King will attempt to frame for his brutal axe attack after he accused two people of being responsible

After the attack, Tom was found and rushed to A&E. The police are now looking in what happened and have started grilling Belle and the Dingles. Sticking to their pact, the family feigned cluelessness about the assault while breathing a sigh of relief that Tom wasn’t dead.  Tom woke up from his ordeal and, in the episode on Tuesday (1 October), he demanded Belle to meet him, a meeting she kept under wraps from others. In their tense meet-up, Tom coerced Belle to stay mum about the abuse, demanding: “Stop lying that I’m an abuser and you’re in the clear.”  Belle reluctantly gave in, saying: “Okay, I’ll do what you want.” Later, when the police questioned Tom, he craftily pointed the finger at two men for the assault, painting a picture of one with a “Leeds accent.”

Fans suspect Aaron and Cain will be framed for the attack
(Image: ITV)

Soap fans are buzzing with theories that Tom has a scheme to frame two cherished characters from the show, possibly setting up an epic exit from the Dales through a shocking prison plot twist. Viewers think that Cain (portrayed by Jeff Hordley) and Aaron (Danny Miller) could be the victims of false allegations. One viewer shared their suspicions on an Emmerdale fan Facebook group, as they said: “My theory of this Tom and belle story. The 2 men he mentioned that attacked him (Aaron and Cain) that could be Cain’s leaving story (jail).” Agreeing, another added, “I was thinking this when he said it last night.” And a third chimed in with: “He’s going to try and blame them isn’t he!” Teasing what’s to come in the storyline, James and Eden, who play Tom and Belle, told OK! at the InsideSoap Awards that they were “about to film some big stuff.” “Big stuff is coming up on screen as well. It’s crazy from this point on,” James teased. Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
