Privacy NoticeCoronation Street fans are expressing concern for Stu Carpenter, suspecting that Mason Radcliffe might be deceiving him about a tragic turn of events. This week, viewers witnessed the troubled youngster confiding in Stu about his domestic situation and his abusive siblings. When Stu discovered him in the restaurant hours before it was due to open, he began to question what was happening. Mason revealed that he had spent the night there to escape another assault from his aggressive older brothers. He has previously suggested that his brothers treat him poorly, and it has also been disclosed that they are eager to lure him into a life of crime.

Just a few months ago, Mason was apprehended after he threatened Liam Connor with a knife, following months of tormenting him. He harassed Liam to the point where the teenager contemplated ending his own life. The distressing storyline resulted in Mason being unmasked and he exited the show, only to return recently. While viewers are split over a potential redemption arc narrative, forthcoming scenes will depict Mason in trouble as one of his brothers, Logan, arrives in Weatherfield, reports the Mirror. However, amidst his home troubles and Stu’s protective stance, some fans speculate that he might be fabricating the truth. Viewers are convinced that the teenager is concealing something and may have invented the story about his brothers to win Stu’s support.

After witnessing the latest twists, one viewer took to X and expressed their scepticism: “I don’t believe Mason’s telling the truth about his brothers.” Echoing this sentiment, another chimed in: “See, this is where Joel went wrong. He should have concocted an abusive brother or something like Mason and everyone would forgive him.” The plot thickens as fans speculate on further revelations and the potential emergence of a new villain. One intrigued fan speculated: “I wonder if there’s more to Mason’s family life than we realise,” while another pondered: “So what I’m hearing is, Mason’s brother is worse than he is?” Amidst the drama, it appears that Mason’s character is entangled in a heart-wrenching abuse storyline, despite his troubled past. Actor Luca Toolan hinted at a deeper understanding of Mason’s character, sharing: “I think this is the kind of abuse Mason has faced his whole life which unfortunately is what has shaped him into the kind of person he is today.” He added insight into future episodes, revealing: “I think once Mason is fully back on screen, we will see little nuggets of things which we will be able to explore further into his backstory and give a clearer insight into his family life.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
