Privacy NoticeWill Kirk of The Repair Shop delighted fans as he gave them a heartwarming update on his newborn’s well-being, just one day after the lovely news of his arrival. Known for his talent in breathing new life into cherished antiques on the show since 2017, Will shares his newborn son and his daughter with wife Polly Snowdon. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (October 1), the 39 year old craftsman shared an adorable snap showing his child’s tiny foot cradled in his hands. In his post to his followers, Will revealed the sweet family news that they’ve now become a family of four. “Three become four,” he penned. “I’m very proud of my lovely wife for the last 9 months. Mum and baby doing well, including an incredibly excited big sister.”

Just a day on and the skilled furniture restorer was back with another sweet picture, this time a selfie featuring his little one snug in a baby carrier. He captioned the personal touch: “Back in the sling of things,” pairing it with playful hashtags like “First moustache”, “lads” and “morningcoffeerun”. Fans have gushed over the news as one follower commented, “Lovely news, well done the pair of you….enjoy these precious years with your babies, they grow up so fast,” while another laughed: “I hope all’s well, congratulations! Which is more than I can say for your tash.” Meanwhile, a thoughtful fan added: “Huge congrats! Just pop the sling up a little higher, should be able to kiss the baby’s…head.” Will responded to the concerned fan, explaining: “I was outside the house and about to adjust it as I share the sling with my wife, there’s a slight difference in our height.” The name of Will and Polly’s second bundle of joy remains a mystery, just like they chose to keep their daughter’s name private after her arrival in July 2022.

In a candid moment last July, the talented craftsman expressed his hopes for his firstborn to take up his tools. Chatting about his latest book, Restore: The Art of Caring for the Things You Love, on ITV’s Lorraine, the Scottish host asked, “What do you hope anyone who is interested in this, will take away from the book?” Will confidently responded, “Just that you can do it yourself and I think it’s just having that confidence and that’s what it is all about,” adding, “There is that element that if something is expensive or holds value then it’s best to go to an expert.” Lorraine, reminisced, “When you were a little boy you watched your grandad fix furniture and thought ‘I want to do that’ and I think that is lovely.” With a twinkle in his eye, Will joked, “It runs in my blood and perhaps my daughter will do the same thing. She is nearly two,” prompting Lorraine to chuckle, “Good luck with that, the terrible twos.” Will first graced our screens on Channel 4’s The French Collection. Four years on, he started featuring on The Repair Shop and subsequently became a regular on BBC Morning Live. Will participated in the 2021 series of Celebrity MasterChef and also hosted the first series of The Travelling Auctioneers alongside Christina Trevanion.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
