Privacy NoticeTwenty years after S Club Juniors first found fame, a star of the band, Aaron Renfree, has completely changed his career. S Club Juniors, who were a teen spin-off of pop megastars S Club 7, rose to fame in 2000 with hits like One Step Closer and Automatic High but called it quits just four years later. Aaron, who was the oldest of the eight band members, ditched the singing life when the band split and became a professional dancer instead. In 2004, Aaron went back to college and trained at Laine Theatre Arts and later went on to become one of the original cast of Flashdance the Musical.

Aaron then danced for the likes of Taylor Swift, Little Mix, Kylie Minogue, Olly Murs and appeared on stage on The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and Royal Variety. The star now works as a choreographer, and choreographed the Eugenius! Musical in London. He’s also choreographed Dancing on Ice and The Greatest Dancer. More recently, Aaron has worked as assistant choreographer alongside director, Craig Revel Horwood, for NOW! That’s What I Call A Musical. It seems like becoming a choreographer was the natural step for Aaron who once revealed to Attitude magazine the pressure he felt about being on stage. “Being on stage and TV does put the pressure on you. With social media being able to capture so many moments, you don’t want to get the shot of you not looking your best.”

He continued: “At college I was told to buff up because it would help me get better jobs because male dancers get asked to take their tops off all the time – that’s what it comes down to sometimes… Who has the best body. It sounds extreme but you have to look camera-ready all the time.” Aaron looks completely different 20 years on from his teen pop career, but still hasn’t forgotten his S Club roots. In a recent Instagram post he wrote “There ain’t no party like a waitrose party! Jump on this dance trend with me and my s club family”. The star also posts dance TikToks and lots of snaps posting off his toned physique. Aaron was a member of the group alongside Frankie Bridge (then Sanford) and Rochelle Humes (then Wiseman), who both went on to later be part of girl group The Saturdays, as well as fellow band members Daisy Evans, Jay Asforis, Stacey McClean, Calvin Goldspink and Hannah Richings.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
