Privacy Notice Reality star Joey Essex is reportedly set for his next TV gig, dazzling on Big Brother not long after his splash on Love Island earlier this year. Joey, 34, a TOWIE legend with a string of reality appearances under his belt including the jungle escapades of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and the chill of Dancing on Ice, is rolling onto our screens again just months after he left the Love Island villa. It’s claimed that he’s bagged a part in the fresh series of Big Brother. However, Joey’s not lining up as a housemate but will reportedly feature in a presenting capacity in the upcoming civilian series, which starts on Sunday on ITV2 and ITVX. Stars of the calibre of Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne, and Kate Middleton’s uncle, Gary Goldsmith, have previously entered the Celebrity Big Brother household, but the upcoming series will feature members of the public.

In a whirlwind romance, Joey left Love Island this summer arm-in-arm with Jessy Potts, only to call it quits after seven brief weeks, having been the villa’s sole celeb. He sneakily popped into the Big Brother premises at Harlesden’s London spot last Friday, shooting clips for the series, which is now presented by AJ Odudu and Will Best, reports the Mirror. Sources say: “Joey will absolutely appear in the new series, though he won’t be a contestant. As a reality TV veteran he is the perfect person to present to the housemates – he knows exactly what they will be feeling so he will be a real asset to the series.” Sign up to OK!’s TV newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

They added: “His full involvement is shrouded in secrecy but he made such brilliant telly on Love Island, ITV bosses are thrilled he is taking part.” Joey’s certainly living it up, having been spotted on Selling Sunset eyeing up a swanky £5million pad in the glitzy Hollywood Hills as a potential new purchase. The house that caught his eye includes the obligatory hot tub for those warm LA evenings. The Big Brother housemates this year, meanwhile, will be strutting their stuff through a neon-lit corridor that leads straight to the infamous Diary room. Last year’s winner, Jordan Sangha, quipped he was “triggered” revisiting the property after its snazzy makeover. London’s Harlesden neighbourhood is now home to a revamped house boasting a bold colour scheme and design – dramatic paint splatters are all over the show! The decoration descends in giant droplets down to a garden where even the rabbit statue didn’t escape a colour burst, a scene that screams cowboy builders’ plastering gone wild.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
