Privacy NoticeStrictly Come Dancing’s Pete Wicks suffered a blunder during his George of the Jungle dance – with Jowita Przystal nearly sent flying before recovering magnificently. The pair’s performance was applauded by most of the judges, though the bungle didn’t escape Craig Revel-Horwood, who observed icily: “There was the trip hazard, which you created” before branding some of moves “uncoordinated at times”. Fans also clocked the mishap, with one asking: “Did Jowita almost trip and go flying over his leg? What exactly happened there? He went for it and loosened up, so it deserves a well done.” Another wrote: “Confused by the scores for Pete when it looked like he tripped up Jowita? Thought it would’ve been mentioned by all the judges.” A third wanted to know: “Did Jowita trip or did Pete accidentally trip her?”

Motsi Mabuse referred to the fact the judges demanded the TOWIE star loosen up for the bizarre jungle-themed performance, which saw him dancing in a leopard-print loin cloth, in the previous show, saying: “I blame us for this occasion of what is happening here.” Shirley Ballas added: “You don’t take yourself too seriously, but you take the dance very seriously. You take risks – that’s a risk.” She added: “It was full of content. You attempted to do a slow-quick-quick which probably I’m going to appreciate. “You got it slightly off but you’re not going to overlook that because you really attempted to do something a little bit more out of the ordinary. I have to commend you. It’s great to see you improving so well done to you.” The judges awarded the pair an impressive 26 for Movie Week – with Craig and Motsi delivering sixes and Shirley and Anton sevens. Pete said later of George of the Jungle: “I absolutely hate the film, but I absolutely love the Samba. George loves the Samba.” Jowita, turning to her co-star said: “Any idea I picture you go with it. You never say no and you always want to be fully in. You’re my number one George. Better than the movie.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
