Privacy Notice Strictly Come Dancing star Dr Punam Krishan has declared the one complaint she has about her fellow celeb co-stars. During a chat to OK!, EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick said: “I’ll just take each day as it comes, get my sleep and food in. We’ve got a doctor here looking after us, so any problems, any fainting or anything…” Punam then added: “Yeah I thought I was getting away from it, but literally it’s been non-stop medical questions!”. The star also revealed she was still working as a GP alongside the competition but declared she feels that it’s the ‘perfect balance’ of ‘scrubs and sparkle’.

The TV doctor, who is partnered with Gorka Marquez, impressed the judges last night (Saturday 5 October) with their couples choice. The pair danced to Bole Chudiyan and performed a Bollywood number for the first time in the show’s 20-year history. During the show, Punam explained: “I never saw Indian girls dancing on mainstream television, so to be doing now, an Indian dance, on a platform like Strictly, it’s huge. I am such a proud Scottish Indian girl. In this couple’s choice, I really just want to bring my culture and my heritage to the forefront.” The pair impressed the judges and were awarded three eight’s and a nine. Motsi Mabuse added: “That really moved me. I know so many people are watching you right now and feeling so proud to see this on Strictly Come Dancing.”

She also added: “I’ve got Gethin [Jones], I’ve got Sara Davies, Kimberley Walsh has done it. So, yeah, I have reached out to them. Dr Ranj [Singh] is another one. So it’s been good. I’ve just been like, help! And the one piece of advice consistently has been just enjoy it. It’s over before you know it.”

At the end of week three, which also happened to be ‘movies’ week, Punam and Gorka placed in joint second out of the remaining 13 celebrities with an impressive 33 points. Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec performed a rumba to the song What Was I Made For, which soundtracked the 2023 film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. Nick Knowles was absent from the show after injuring himself earlier in the week. On Friday, Strictly announced that DIY SOS’ Nick would not be performing. The message to fans read: “Unfortunately, Nick Knowles sustained an injury during rehearsals and as a result, will not dance this weekend. As per the rules of the competition, Nick and Luba will receive a bye through to next week when he is hopefully able to dance again. Everyone at Strictly Come Dancing wishes Nick a speedy recovery.” Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
