Privacy NoticeConnor Swindells, who is best known for his roles in Sex Education, SAS Rogue Heroes and last year’s Barbie, has married Peaky Blinders actress and model Amber Anderson in a romantic Scottish Highlands wedding. The couple held their wedding ceremony at Boath House near Nairn in the Highlands, close to where Amber grew up, and their wedding was officiated by actor Alistair Petrie, who played Connor’s dad in Sex Education. The ceremony took place in Boath House’s gardens, with gold chairs placed outside, each adorned with a ribbon, and Amber’s friend, classical guitarist Sean Shibe, played as the bride walked down the aisle. Amber wore a silk wedding gown by Vivienne Westwood, with elbow length gloves, jewellery from Chanel and silver shoes from Roger Vivier. She revealed to Vogue magazine that she forgot to wear her matching wedding veil for the ceremony, but carried a beautiful bouquet of pink, red and white flowers that were tied with Anderson family tartan ribbon.

Other sweet touches included Amber having her and Connor’s initials in gold on her thumbnails, and the couple’s rescue dog, Moose, as their ring bearer, wearing a tartan bandana. In the interview with Vogue, Amber revealed how she and Connor originally got together four years previously. They had first met on the set of the 2020 version of Jane Austen’s Emma, in which Anya Taylor-Joy starred as the well-meaning 10th century matchmaker, while Amber played Jane Fairfax and Connor played Robert Martin, and kept in touch when filming finished. “We ended up together during the first lockdown,” Amber said. “We were both living alone and relatively near each other, so we decided to bubble together. We got to really support each other through that. Lockdown meant we had time with each other that we wouldn’t have gotten if we’d both been away filming. Our official first date was literally about three months into our relationship when everything opened up again. I feel like we did everything backwards in a strange sort of way.” Sign up to OK!’s TV newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

Amber had seven bridesmaids at her Highland wedding, who were able to wear whatever they chose, and while Connor’s Sex Education co-star Alistair officiated the ceremony, the bride was given away by her godmother. “My dad sadly isn’t very well, so he wasn’t able to do it,” Amber said. “She is the godparent that he chose for me, so it felt like a nice way of having him there.” New groom Connor’s star is on the rise both in the UK and in the US at the moment. He will next be seen in the second series of the BBC’s SAS Rogue Heroes, followed by the drama series Lockerbie, and he also stars alongside Bad Sisters star Claes Bang in the historical drama William Tell, which is released in early 2025.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
