After news emerged of Liam’s tragic death, his fellow One Direction bandmates have not yet publically spoken out. However, on Thursday, 17 October, Niall, 31, broke his cover and was spotted in public looking devastated following the loss of his pal Liam. Niall was accompanied by his girlfriend Amelia Woolley, as they took their dog for a walk. The One Direction star donned a green bomber jacket, grey trousers, sunglasses and a cap as he stepped out just hours after Liam’s passing was announced. In the photos, Niall appeared sombre as he walked on the streets while holding his dog’s frisbee, his girlfriend holding their dog’s lead. It comes just two weeks after the two One Direction stars were reunited when Liam attended one of Niall’s shows in Argentina on Wednesday, 2 October.

After attending the concert, a video was shared online which showed Liam and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy singing and dancing to Niall’s music as he took to the stage at the Movistar Arena. Liam also shared a series of other clips and photos of the event on Snapchat, including one of himself with Niall as he penned: “Reunited.” Explaining his trip to Argentina in another video, Liam said: “We’re going to Argentina. One, because we have to, and two, because we want to, and three, because Niall Horan’s playing down there and I think we might just go and say ‘Hello’.” He added: “It’s been a while since me and Niall have spoken. We’ve got a lot to talk about and I would like to square up a couple things with the boy. No bad vibes or nothing like that, but just, we need to talk.”

On Wednesday, 16 October, it was revealed that Liam had tragically died in Buenos Aires after falling from a hotel balcony. A local ambulance chief’s account is quoted as saying: “At 17.04 through the 911 integrated public safety system, we were alerted of a person who was in an internal courtyard of the management of a south house hotel. “At 17.11 a SAME team arrived and verified the death of this man and later we found out that he was a singer in a musical group.
