Privacy NoticeStrictly Come Dancing’s Jamie Borthwick was met with a shocked reaction from his co-stars when he joked about spending a ‘delirious night’ with his professional dance partner. The star was sitting in the studio talking to Claudia Winkleman having just been sent through to the next round when he made the cheeky revelation. After thanking the viewers for voting for him, Claudia quickly moved onto the fact that Jamie does impressions of the judges. Jamie then looked at his partner Michelle Tsiakkas and said: “we had a delirious night the other night, we were laying there” which was met with surprised faces and ‘oohs’ from his co-stars. Jamie jumped in quickly to confirm it was “on the rehearsal floor!”

Jamie made a surprising blunder when talking to Claudia

As Jamie attempted to explain himself, Coronation Street’s Shayne Ward shouted “spill the beans” as comedian Chris McCausland asked “does it need a ‘doof doof’?” referring to Jamie’s soap opera gig at EastEnders where he plays Jay Brown. Brushing off the comments with a laugh, Jamie added: “So we were getting cosy, having a snuggle, anyway…” and continued to do an impression of Shirley Ballas with her comments on the rumba, before he added “you had to be there”. Michelle then revealed to her dance partner that next week they would be “going back to Latin” after the pair performed a quickstep to Elton John’s hit, I’m Still Standing.

The actress played Nadine Keller, Jay’s love interest before her exit earlier this year. The pair had been seen posing for pictures together and enjoying ‘carpool karaoke’ on social media. Michelle is currently dating Italian dancer Simone Arena, the pair met when they both toured with Burn the Floor. During the latest episode of Strictly Come Dancing, Toyah Willcox, who dressed up as Ursula for Movie Week, became the next celebrity to leave after facing the dance-off with Paul Merson.

When asked by Tess Daly about their time on the show, Toyah said: “It’s been the best two months of my life, it has been fantastic. I have enjoyed every second. And you (Neil Jones) have been phenomenal, thank you so much.” Neil said: “She has made me laugh so much, I have never seen someone work so hard – I’m the one asking for breaks every now and then! She just kept going, she wanted to learn so much. If you saw her in the hallway she’s been practising. Everyone’s been telling me have you seen Toyah practising, she’s brilliant and she’s what Strictly is all about, and I’ve loved every moment” When asked by Tess about her partner Neil, Toyah said: “It was immediate, it had to be Neil. I felt so comfortable and safe. You’re a great teacher, you’re a great friend as well. You’ve just given me a new zest for life, that’s the most valuable thing I’ve come away with.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
