Privacy Notice Holly Hagan has divided fans with her skincare routine, leaving some questioning what she was doing with one particular step. In a video uploaded to TikTok, the Geordie Shore star gave her 400,000 followers a glimpse of how she kept her skin looking blemish-free and glowy, though one aspect of the tutorial divided fans. As she kicked off the skincare routine, Holly, 32, could be seen using a razor to shave her upper lip – and the move didn’t go unnoticed by fans. As she quickly shaved the area, fans questioned why exactly she was using a razor on her face.

“Holy no, what u doing,” wrote one. “Yeah, please don’t shave your upper lip,” another added. A third also questioned how she was shaving without hairs coming back thicker or darker. “How did you shave and have no thick hair regrowth,” they added. However, others were more in favour of the controversial step and showed their support for Holly’s routine. “People being weird about shaving the tash… I do my entire face with one,” said one. “I’ve been doing this for years. Why is everyone so mad haha,” added another. Sign up to OK!’s daily newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

Despite the backlash, many social media users saw nothing wrong with the step in Holly’s routine

In response to the division, the TV personality has since responded to the controversy. “Don’t worry, I’ve been doing this for 20+ years,” she wrote in reply to one TikTok user. The mum-of-one also took to her Instagram Story to address the backlash. “Why does everyone get so triggered when I shave the tash, it’s the 11 likes for me lol,” she wrote alongside a screenshot of a comment. Holly’s skincare routine comes after she spoke to OK! about wearing a hearing aid after being diagnosed with profound hearing loss earlier this year. “When you’re in an environment and having to ask people to repeat themselves like once, twice, three times – it’s just so awkward,” she said. “Some people need glasses and there isn’t a stigma around glasses, so there shouldn’t be around hearing loss.”

She also opened up about being a mum to her 16-month-old son, Alpha-Jax, who she shares with husband Jacob Blyth. “It’s interesting. It’s definitely great at times but it also comes with so much responsibility,” she explained when asked about how she was finding motherhood so far. “And it’s just one of those things where I don’t think anyone truly fathoms the decision that you’re making when you choose to have a child. It gives you something to live for. It gives you something to focus on. Mine’s definitely not a child who likes to just sit and do nothing. He is a wild child.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK! MagazineFacebookTwitterCommentMore OnGeordie ShoreHolly Hagan
