In conversation with Lorraine, Amanda opened up about what lies ahead for her kids beyond their idyllic yet isolated farm life. She revealed that the renovation of a new farmhouse, affectionately known as Anty John’s by locals, is part of a plan for her children’s futures, especially since Ravenseat Farm, the backdrop of their famed TV show, isn’t actually theirs to own, reports Yorkshire Live. Expanding on their plans, she said: “We have a vision and the vision is to have a working farm that we can call our own and a place for the children. I mean I don’t know where they are going to go. We have nine of them but only one of them has left home but it seems like they gravitate back.”

The TV sensation quipped: “Ideally I would have one child in a hot country at all times so that I can move around and get past some of this cold Yorkshire weather for a while.” She continued by expressing her love for her roots: “I feel like when you’ve been brought up here (their family farm) it’s kind of in you, it gives you life lessons and it gives you a real grounding sense of purpose and you will take that with you everywhere in life.”

Amanda then dished on her experience teaming up with Clive on a renovation project after their split had been finalised, sharing with fans, “It does seem the same as ever it was,” and highlighting how they both pitch in, “The work never stops. There’s so much that needs doing every single day that we work together as a team and realistically that’s an incredibly good lesson for the children. “It’s about pushing forward, compromise, making our unique situation work. Well, I say work – work to the degree that things in our life tend to work. In other words, chaos.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK! MagazineFacebookTwitterCommentMore OnAmanda Owen
