Privacy Notice A major star was forced to withdraw from Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins after they sustained an injury during one difficult challenge. The Only Way Is Essex star Bobby Norris made it all the way to the penultimate episode, but left the show after obtaining an injury during a wrestling match. During the challenge, the TV personality, 38, took on Love Island’s Ovie Soko in a wrestling match. After he attempted to push his opponent outside of a ring that was filled with mud, Bobby asked to see a medic and was informed that he’d sustained an injury as a result.

Having sought medical advice, a doctor told Bobby that he was experiencing neck and spine spasms and that they were likely to increase over time. In turn he was advised by a doctor to withdraw from the gruelling show. “Your mobility is going to get more restricted, and you’re going to be at risk of doing yourself more damage,” the medic said, causing Bobby to depart on Sunday, 13 October’s episode. But he wasn’t the only star to call it quits. Cherry Healey was another celebrity who made the difficult decision to end her time on the show early as she explained that it wasn’t an easy decision to make. “It’s been life-changing, but I know when the line is and that’s fine. I thought about this long and hard,” she said.

You know, there was lots of classic rubbish behaviour. I was really infatuated. “I got back and the first thing I did was break it off with him because I thought, ‘There’s no way I’m going to jump out of a helicopter and then continue with this absolute farce.’ So yeah, it changes you as a person and gives you a lot of self-confidence.”

The TV presenter also shone a light on the psychological challenge that comes alongside the physically demanding nature of the show. “I thought it was going to be so incredibly, incredibly hard and it was so much harder than that. “But it’s also the psychological stuff around it. You see the challenges, but really the psychological hardship is also waiting in the vans when you’re cold. I mean, you’re so cold your whole body aches. your feet are on fire, they’re so cold,” she explained. “You have to sit in these military vans for two hours and they do that to psych you out, but you don’t see that on camera. And you fall asleep and they call you and someone’s jingling jangling in the dorm, so you can’t get any sleep. That’s really challenging.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
