Privacy Notice Ferne McCann has made a huge announcement – and it comes after the TV star shocked fans by quitting her own hit ITV show. The First Time Mum star has revealed that she’ll be joining Dancing on Ice, making the announcement during an appearance on Good Morning Britain. Ferne, 34, is the first celeb to be revealed of the 2025 ice dancing lineup. Speaking on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, former TOWIE star Ferne excitedly shared: “This is the first time I am talking about it.” The mum of two added: “I can reveal I am doing Dancing On Ice … I am so excited!”
The official Dancing on Ice Instagram account confirmed the news

Ferne also revealed that she can “kind of” skate, thanks to taking her kids to Winter Wonderland in London previously. While the training for Dancing on Ice may be a little more intense, she added: “I do want to be good. We can expect Ferne to be a force to be reckoned with on the ice, too, as she also told viewers: “I am competitive.” The news was confirmed on the official Dancing On Ice Instagram, with a post captioned: “Coming through with the glam, @fernemccann joins our sparkling #DancingOnIce Class of 2025!” Fans were quick to share their support, with one writing: “Oh I love this!!! Cannot wait to see you Ferne!” Another added, “Congratulations Ferne McCann, you will smash this babe. Finty and Sunday will be so proud of their Mama,” while one commented, “So excited for this! Go on girl!” Ferne’s clearly ready to strap on her skates, as she also commented: “Now the training starts.”
Ferne stars in Ferne McCann: My Family and Me with partner Lorri and daughters Sunday and Finty
It comes soon after Ferne made the surprise announcement that she’s quitting her own ITVBe series, Ferne McCann: My Family & Me, which has run for 13 seasons, after originally airing as Ferne McCann: First Time Mum, and follows Ferne’s family life with daughters Sunday, 6, and one year old Finty and her fiancé, Lorri Haines. Ferne recently broke her silence about ending the show, revealing exclusively to OK! that she quit after daughter Sunday asked her one confusing question . The six year old asked her just four words which changed everything: “Mummy, am I famous?” The TV star explained: “The show has been going on for so long that we joked we’d still be filming when Sunday had children and be calling it Second Time Nan.” She added: “But I knew the time would eventually come to either have a break or stop altogether, and for the last year I’ve been thinking about it. The point when everything changed was when Sunday actually asked, ‘Am I famous?’ A few of her friends had seen her on an advert. And I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t know…’ It made me feel uncomfortable, because I don’t want her to feel she is different.” The last season of Ferne McCann: My Family & Me is currently airing on ITVBe on Wednesday at 9pm. Dancing on Ice will return to our screens in January 2025.
