Privacy NoticeAmanda Owen and Clive Owen made a return to the small screen after three years, despite their marriage breakdown. The family of 11, who shot to fame on Channel 5’s Our Yorkshire Farm, were seen together for the first time since the show was cancelled following Amanda and Clive’s split. Their new show, Our Farm Next Door, aired on More 4 and showed the family’s progress in rebuilding Anty John’s, an old farmhouse they hope to make their permanent home. However, some viewers felt the series had a slow start and that Amanda’s narration didn’t quite hit the mark. One viewer tweeted: “Been waiting for #OurFarmNextDoor but this is a pedestrian start. Don’t think Amanda works as a narrator … plus there’s the elephant in the room. Bit flat and mannered so far I fear.”

Another wrote: “Omg it’s sooooo slow. She seems brow beaten and Clive seems more jolly. I wonder what’s gone on,” while a third concurred, saying: “Agree.” However, other viewers enjoyed the first episode and are looking forward to more. One fan commented: “#ourfarmnextdoorSo good to see the family back on our screens tonight – easy viewing.” Somebody else posted: “So happy to see the Owen family back on TV with #OurFarmNextDoor, got their work cut out trying to rebuild that farmhouse! “During the episode, Amanda revealed that she and Clive are still married but have separated, putting their differences aside to work on the Anty John’s project, reports the Express. The separated couple have joined forces once more to create a new legacy for their nine children. They’re taking on the tough project, which is set near the family’s Ravenseat Farm, in one of the most remote parts of Britain in Swaledale, located in the Yorkshire Dales. Explaining why the couple are back on TV together, Amanda told OK!: “I do enjoy doing the TV.”

Reflecting on her amicable relationship with Clive, Amanda said: “I am proud of where we have got to. Life throws you some funny curve balls, but it’s how you overcome them and move forward. It’s about building the blocks again.” Laughing, she then revealed, “But don’t get me wrong, we have our moments and our differences of opinion!” Amanda and Clive first shot to fame in 2011 when they appeared in an ITV travel series about the Yorkshire Dales, and she became known as the Yorkshire Shepherdess thanks to her series of bestselling books about their farming life. In 2018, things really took off on the TV front with their Channel 5 series, Our Yorkshire Farm. The hit show came to an end in 2022 when the pair announced their separation. Yet rather than running away from the limelight, Amanda said the family thought it would be fun to star again in a new series together that promises to be a “warts and all” look at how they are going about restoring the property. She explained: “With this new series, you will see every element of the renovation project as well as the animals and children, because everything is interlinked.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
