Privacy Notice A rare moment caught on film has revealed Queen Camilla having a “scolding” word with Princess Charlotte, according to a lip-reading expert, and giving Princess Kate a brisk command during a tense occasion. Amidst the solemn proceedings of Queen Elizabeth II’s farewell and committal service on 19 September 2022, the whole Royal Family came together to bid their final goodbyes. Among the attendees were young royals, Princess Charlotte and Prince George, who closely followed King Charles III alongside other senior members. However, Jeremy Freeman, a qualified lip-reader, picked up on what seemed like playful sibling friction as George attempted to pinch his younger sister resulting in an audible protest from Charlotte, squeaking out an “ow!”.

Meghan Markle, who was within earshot, gave a gentle nod and sympathetic smile towards Charlotte at the reported incident. But this didn’t seem to impress their grandmother, Queen Camilla who, looking somewhat vexed, gestured at Charlotte and appeared to whisper to her mother, The Princess of Wales: “Take her.” As per The Sun, other lip-readers keenly observing throughout the day claim that Charlotte appeared to provide some guidance to her older brother on Royal conduct. In one instance, she reportedly reminded George, believed to be advising him silently: “You need to bow,” as interpreted by lip-readers.

Prince George, looking dapper in a dark suit and tie, seemed to take note of his sister’s reminder about Royal etiquette, reports the Express. The live TV moment where Prince George and Princess Charlotte appeared to have a “disagreement” didn’t slip past viewers, with one tweeting: “Looks like Prince George and Princess Charlotte have a small disagreement.” Another viewer asked: “What did Charlotte say when she turned back around? Was it wow? Ow?”. In a contrasting display of Royal grace, Queen Camilla was seen comforting Princess Charlotte after the young Royal stumbled during a curtsy to King Charles last May. At the coronation concert, the Wales family were seen greeting the King and Queen with the traditional bows and curtsies. However, Charlotte, following her mother’s lead, slightly lost her balance after curtsying to the King. She looked to her father and brother as she steadied herself. Despite missing out on a curtsy from Princess Charlotte, Queen Camilla caught the moment and discreetly comforted the youngster with a gentle pat on the shoulder as she walked by.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
