Privacy NoticeZara and Mike Tindall, known for their love of sports, were spotted at Wimbledon on Wednesday (10 July) but they weren’t seated in the royal box with Queen Camilla. The niece of King Charles and the former rugby player still had prime seats to watch the quarter-final action on Centre Court, with a valid reason why they weren’t alongside other members of the Royal Family. You’d think with their royal connections and popularity among fans, they’d be in the prestigious royal box of Centre Court. But that honour went to Zara’s older brother, Peter Phillips, Princess Anne’s eldest son. He enjoyed the Centre Court spectacle with his new girlfriend, Harriet Sperling, and Queen Camilla. Surprisingly, there was no room for Zara and Mike in the box; instead, they sat elsewhere during their day at Wimbledon.

This seating arrangement seems to be linked to one of Zara’s roles, reports the Daily Record. Besides being a champion equestrian, the mum-of-three is a brand ambassador for several luxury brands, including high-end watchmaker Rolex, a major sponsor of the tournament. So, during the Wimbledon event, she sat in seats reserved for those invited by Rolex, not with her older brother, his girlfriend, or Queen Camilla. The parents of the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, were also at Wimbledon on the same day, but they too weren’t in the royal box. They did, however, secure these coveted seats when they attended the tournament last week. The exclusive box at Wimbledon is invite-only, with only the biggest stars scoring one of the 74 luxury seats. Invitations are extended to a select few, including heads of government, tennis personalities, commercial partners, British armed forces, prominent media organisations, and supporters of British tennis.

Queen Camilla looked chic as she attended Wimbledon in a linen dress adorned with large giraffe motifs by Anna Valentine, accessorised with a Jack Russell brooch from Van Cleef and Arpels. Upon arrival, she met former player Laura Robson, who now works in international player relations and shared that it was “so nice to be able to escape for a day”. She also took time to commend head gardener Martyn Falconer, who has dedicated 25 years to maintaining the Wimbledon grounds. “It all looks fantastic. It always looks absolutely perfect,” she complimented him. In a sweet moment, Camilla met another Camila – the daughter of Mexican doubles player Santiago Gonzalez. After the young girl introduced herself, the Queen joked, “Fancy having two Camillas here”.
