Prince Harry and Meghan Markle cheekily mocked by Serena Williams at ESPY Awards

Megan looked beautiful in the silk crepe white high-neck creation for the evening festivities of their wedding day at Frogmore House. She completed her bridal look with Aquarazza shoes and the treasured aquamarine ring that once belonged to Princess Diana. Social media users were quick to draw parallels between her ESPYs dress and the Royal reception gown. One user said on X, which used to be called Twitter: “That style dress is timeless on Meghan – it’s giving her wedding reception vibes.” Another chimed in: “She loves monochrome! [The dress] reminds me of her second wedding dress.” Others said: “The way Meghan Markle just glows in all white #ESPYS #ESPYAwards” and: “That halter cut is hers for real!”.

At the ESPY Awards, as mum of two Meghan wore the identical dress, she wore her hair slicked back into a neat bun and kept her accessories simple, opting for a pair of diamond earrings and her wedding ring. Meanwhile, Prince Harry donned a black suit with a crisp white shirt and tie. Harry opened his speech by acknowledging the family of Mr Tillman, “especially Mrs Mary Tillman – Pat’s mother”, which comes after she had expressed her disapproval of his selection for the award. “Her advocacy for Pat’s legacy is deeply personal, and one that I respect,” Harry said. “The bond between a mother and son is eternal and transcends even the greatest losses.” It comes ahead of the anniversary of the death of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. The 2024 ESPY (Excellence in Sport Performance Yearly) ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles was hosted by tennis champion Serena Williams – who is a close friend of Meghan’s. During her opening monologue, Serena joked: “Please Harry and Meghan, try not to breathe too much tonight, because this is my night, and I don’t want to be overshadowed by the accusations that you guys are taking up too much oxygen.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
