Privacy NoticeMeghan Markle reportedly feels that every move she makes is met with criticism as she continues to face scrutiny over her upcoming and previous projects, it is claimed. Since stepping down as a senior member of the British Royal Family four years ago, Meghan has tried her hand at a number of projects with varying degrees of success. Royal author, Tom Quinn, told the Mirror: “With news that the couple’s Netflix contract may be under threat, along with the mockery that greeted the launch of her online brand, Meghan feels very much under siege.” Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, signed a five-year deal with Netflix after quitting the Firm, worth millions of pounds and it is up for renewal in 2025. Although the Duchess is set to launch a brand new show soon there has been no public news on whether their contract will be renewed next year.

Hot off the heels of launching her brand, American Riviera Orchard, Meghan broke the news that she was crafting a series with the TV streaming giant aimed at “celebrating the joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining and friendship”, reports the Express. Meghan experienced a blow when her podcast, Archetypes, was axed by Spotify last summer after just 12 episodes, despite their £15.5million deal.

In a statement, Archewell Audio and Spotify announced they had “mutually agreed to part ways” but shared pride in the series they created together. The podcast initially soared to the top of Spotify’s charts in various countries and even won the top podcast award at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles. Meghan, undeterred in her passion for podcasting, has now teamed up with Lemonada Media, with content anticipated for release in 2025. Meghan’s latest venture, American Riviera Orchard, also quietly made its debut in March, but details on Meghan’s offerings were scarce until it was revealed that the Duchess would be dishing out a range of kitchen and homeware appliances, alongside her very own collection of oils, nut butters, jams, preserves – and there’s even talk of rose wine. Despite the initial excitement, interest seems to have waned, and commentator Tom Quinn suggests that Meghan would have been gutted by the drop-off in fanfare.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
