Archie, their firstborn, has a poignant reminder of his grandmother in his nursery with a striking black and white photo of the late Princess Diana. This touching tribute ensures that Diana’s legacy continues to be a part of their family story, reports the Mirror. The Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan from 2022 offers a glimpse into these intimate family moments. In one tender scene, we see a young Archie, then just a baby, reaching out to a picture of Diana as Meghan gently guides him, saying: “Who’s that? Grandma? Yeah. It’s your Grandma Diana.” Harry opened up poignantly in his 2021 documentary, The Me You Can’t See, about a touching moment involving Archie and the late Princess Diana. He revealed: “I got a photo of her in his nursery, and it was one of the first words that he said – apart from ‘mama’, ‘papa’, it was then ‘grandma’. Grandma Diana. It’s the sweetest thing, but at the same time, it makes me really sad because she should be here.” Sign up to OK’s royal newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

Despite Princess Diana’s absence, Harry ensures her memory is a part of his children’s lives. After his daughter Princess Lilibet was born, he honoured his mother by including Diana in her name. Reflecting on his children during an early 2023 interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Harry noted the presence of Diana’s legacy in both Archie and Lilibet, who have inherited the distinctive Spencer red hair. Embracing their ‘ginger’ traits, Harry commented: “The Spencer gene is very, very strong. “I actually really, genuinely thought at the beginning of my relationship [with Meghan] that should this go the distance and we have kids that there’s no way the ginger gene will stand up to my wife’s genes, but I was wrong! Go gingers.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
