Privacy NoticePrincess Beatrice may have a high-flying software job these days, but back in 2014, she was looking for her break as an intern at Sony Pictures. At the time the royal worked for the company, it was targeted by hackers who exposed employees’ salary details – including Beatrice’s. Aged 26 at the time, it was revealed that Beatrice was earning £19,500 annually as an intermediate coordinating producer in the firm’s London branch. Beatrice, who is now Vice President of Partnerships & Strategy at software company Afiniti, resigned from the company after the scandal.

The Guardians of Peace also disclosed the salaries of Sony’s top stars and executives and made its films available online for free. They then erased data from the company’s servers and deployed ransomware. It is believed that North Korean hackers were behind the security breach in retaliation for a film, The Interview, featuring James Franco and Seth Rogen, which ridiculed the country’s leader Kim Jong-un. Beatrice is now married to Property Developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, with the couple residing in a £3M home in the Cotswolds. The couple are parents to daughter Sienna Elizabeth, two, while Beatrice is stemum eight year old Christopher Woolf.

The princess, who is King Charles’ niece, recently opened up to OK! about her mother Sarah Ferguson – following her skin cancer diagnosis earlier this year and after she faced breast cancer last summer. She said: “My mum is always inspiring and inspiring me. She’s one of the people that whenever life throws something really hard at you, she turns back to being one of the most joyful individuals. “I think what she’s been through in the last year, it really made a lot of people get checked. She’s really kind of come through the other side and it’s just so wonderful.”

Beatrice continued: “I love learning from her every single day – whatever you go through, turn back to joy, turn back to love and kindness.” The 64-year-old Duchess – and former wife of Prince Andrew, Duke of York – has recently battled breast and skin cancer. Sarah revealed that she’d undergone a “successful” operation after a routine mammogram detected breast cancer.
