Privacy Notice A revealing video clip has thrown new light on the feud between Prince William and Meghan Markle, according to a Royal expert. Richard Eden, the Daily Mail’s Royal correspondent, analysed the footage during an episode of Reading the Royals on YouTube. The video captures the Royal Family exiting church on Christmas Day in 2018, two years before Harry and Meghan quit their jobs as Senior Royals. The expert pointed out the “body language” on display, which he claimed made Royal observers “take notice” at the time, as it seemingly shows William ignoring Meghan. Richard commented: “By Christmas 2018, the split was terminal and the footage we’re about to see really did make royal watchers sit up and take notice.” He added: “Look at the body language as they’re leaving church on Christmas Day in Sandringham. Meghan looks as if she wants to chat with Prince William, but he sort of turns away awkwardly and fiddles with his scarf.” He went on to say: “Looks like he just doesn’t want to speak to Meghan at all and then at that point, it seems Catherine intervenes. You know, as we’ve seen so often with her, she seems to be sort of the peacemaker.”

He continued: “And trying to make a bit of small talk, knowing full well that the cameras are all on them.” Despite these uncomfortable scenes, Richard noted that the newspapers were filled with photos showing “an apparently united front” between William and Catherine, and Harry and Meghan. Harry and Meghan have been stirring up controversy since their departure from Royal life in 2020 and subsequent move to America. They then caused a sensation with several interviews that spilled private family details. The Duke dropped a bombshell with his explosive memoir, Spare, released in 2023, accusing his brother Prince William of physical assault. The Sussexes also made claims of racism and mistreatment against the media and the monarchy. This month, it has been claimed that Harry is confused about why the rift with his brother hasn’t healed. A source told Heat magazine that the Duke believed he and William would have “found a way to reconcile” by this point. On top of this, expert Royal author Tom Quinn predicted that the brothers’ bond stands little chance of being repaired following the shock assault claims. He revealed to the Mirror that Harry expects William to break the ice, even as Harry “won’t take the lead” and while William remains “annoyed” at his brother’s constant “complaints and attacks”. Apparently, the Prince of Wales is wary about reaching his hand out first “in case it gets bitten off”, the author noted.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
