Privacy Notice Prince William once cheekily admitted to a hilarious gifting blunder with his wife, Kate Middleton, that she’ll never let him live down. He amusingly revealed that his early attempts at gift-giving included buying Duchess Kate a pair of binoculars – a unique choice that surprisingly ‘sealed the deal’ for their romance. Peter shared that he once gave his wife, Abbey Clancy, a raincoat, while another confessed to gifting a tree. When Prince William was asked if he could top those, he responded with a laugh: “I probably can. I did get my wife a pair of binoculars once. She’s never let me forget that.” Reflecting on the early stages of their relationship, he joked: “That was early on in the courtship, that was. I tell you what, I think that sealed the deal. She fell for me at that point.” Williams concluded with a chuckle, “I think I was convincing myself about it. I was like, ‘These are really amazing! Look how far you can see!'” Meanwhile, Kate’s cancer diagnosis made her “take a look at her life and her priorities”, one royal expert has claimed.

Back in March, she revealed that she’d been diagnosed with cancer and in a later update in June the duchess, who is undergoing preventative chemotherapy, added that she has “good days and bad days”. Speaking exclusively to OK!, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond claimed that the diagnosis will have made Kate think about what the priorities in her life are, adding that her prime concerns are now Prince William as well as their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and six year old Prince Louis. “I’m sure cancer has made Catherine take a look at her life and her priorities. And I think those priorities are firmly with her family, her husband and her children,” she said. “I don’t think she has any room in her head or her heart to worry about the dramas of the past or anything that Harry and Meghan might say or do now… or in the future.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
