Privacy NoticeThe Prince and Princess of Wales have just dropped a heartfelt video, hailing Team GB as an “inspiration to us all”. Released this evening on X, the platform that’s taken over from Twitter, the Royal couple took a moment to speak to the nation following the wrap-up of the Olympic Games 2024. Kicking off the video with an intro from none other than US rapper legend Snoop Dogg (footballing royalty David Beckham also appears in the compilation video)- who with his outfits and general enthusiasm has made quite a name for himself at this year’s competition – saying, “Greeting loved ones”. Then the video quickly cuts to a cosy shot of Princess Kate who continues to recover from cancer treatment on the left, with Prince William on her right. The Princess beams, saying: “From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB.”

Prince William – sporting a dramatically different unshaven look with a newly grown beard – then chimes in with his own praise, remarking: “Well done on all you’ve achieved.” “Well done @teamgb, what an incredible journey!” they wrote in a statement on social media. “Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart and passion. You made us all so proud! Here’s to celebrating every triumph at @paris2024 and looking forward to more from @paralympicsgb_official later in the summer.” Kate and Will aren’t the only royals to have loved the sporting action in Paris this year. At the event itself, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh was seen celebrating loudly after Team GB claimed gold in the women’s team sprint.
