She also instilled a strong work ethic in her two children, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall, ensuring they understood the importance of work, regardless of their royal lineage. In a 2020 interview marking their mother’s 70th birthday, Peter and Zara humorously admitted being too scared to ask her to slow down and shared one trait they find “annoying”. Sitting together, Zara commented: “she’s like a sponge, it’s unbelievable, the information that’s stored in her brain. It’s incredible. Quite annoying, as well.” To which Peter agreed: “It is quite annoying, yes.”

Zara and Peter shared a candid glimpse into their family life, chatting about the joy of Sunday drop-offs at their mum’s home. Peter, who is dad to Savannah and Isla with his ex-wife Autumn Phillips, and Zara, mother to her trio Mia, Lena, and Lucas with husband Mike Tindall, couldn’t help but gush over how much grandma adores having the little ones around. “She loves seeing them ride, she loves having them around for Sunday lunches, doing all the sorts of stuff we used to do as kids. She now takes them to do this sort of things,” he shared. All about those easy-breezy Sundays, Zara quipped, “We quite like leaving them on Sundays. We’ll say ‘We’ll pick them up later, bye’,”.

Princess Anne’s daughter has spoken before about her thoughts on not having an official title like her other cousins.
