Kate, 42, is joint president of the Scout Association, and has been since 2020, alongside the Duke of Kent, who she shares the title with. Today she expressed her excitement about the announcement of the UK’s new chief Scout. In the statement, she wrote: Delighted to welcome @DwayneFields as the new UK Chief Scout. The Scouts is such an incredible organisation, teaching #SkillsForLife and making a huge difference to young people across the country.” She signed off looking forward to the future, with a personal ‘C’, adding: “Looking forward to working with you! C.” Fans were quick to show their support, writing: “Beautiful message from Catherine,” and “Lovely to hear from Catherine.” Princess Kate’s last personal message on the shared platform was in August, where she posted a joint message with William showing their support for Team GB’s athletes at the Paralympics. The couple wrote: “Looking forward to another few weeks of incredible sport! Wishing the very best of luck to our @ParalympicsGB athletes and all those competing at #Paris2024. W & C.”

The sweet public message comes just one day after Prince William returned to work after his summer break, where he sported a beard and a tan , fresh from his holidays. The first official trip back was to the Saatchi Gallery in London, to visit an art project created by former homeless artists, part of the Homewards campaign by the royal couple, which aims to develop a plan to eradicate homelessness. Meanwhile, there has been further happy royal news as Princess Sofia of Sweden was seen for the first time since announcing her pregnancy with her fourth child. A statement from the Swedish Royal Household read: “Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia have the great pleasure to announce that the Princess is expecting the couple’s fourth child… Princess Sofia is doing well and the birth is expected in February 2025. No changes are expected in Princess Sofia’s official program during the autumn.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
