Privacy NoticeIn a rare moment the voices of Kate’s children could be heard in a moving video released by the Princess of Wales as she gave an update on her cancer treatment. The royal declared that it was a ‘relief’ to say she has now finally finished her chemotherapy treatment, in a statement accompanied by a family video filmed by Will Warr in August, in a sun-dappled forest in Norfolk. In the video, Kate addressed how hard the journey has been on her and those she loves, accompanied by footage of herself, her husband Prince William and their children walking through a forest. And at one adorable moment, the royal children – who have often delighted fans with their animated antics – are seen looking into the camera and excitedly shouting ‘Hello, hello!, mischievous Louis at one paint with his face close to the camera – in one of the rare moments we hear the young royals’ voices.

Prince Louis offered up some of his hilarious facial expressions in his mum’s candid video

In the relatable video, which also gives royal fans a glimpse of the family’s dog Orla, and sees Prince William giving his wife a supportive cuddle, Kate admitted that the last nine months undergoing treatment had been ‘incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.’ She added: ‘The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything. “This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”

And it is clear from this beautiful video alone that one of doting mother Kate’s great sources of strength – apart from the joys of the nature she can find close to her home – is her husband and her three children. Kate first broke the shocking news that she had cancer back in March, explaining that she would be undergoing a course of preventative chemotherapy. Now that she has finished this treatment, the Princess – who has begun working from home – is expected to undertake a handful of public engagements over the coming months, however, as she says in the message she released on Monday 9 September, her main focus remains on being ‘cancer free’ – as she admitted her journey to full recovery was ‘long’.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
