Privacy NoticeThe Prince of Wales was spotted in London once again, this time attending the Centrepoint Awards at the British Museum. He looked dapper in a velvet suit and bowtie. Prince William is leading the celebration of the incredible achievements of formerly homeless young people who have turned their lives around after experiencing homelessness. Tonight’s event, hosted by Strictly Come Dancing’s Claudia Winkleman, aims to highlight the bravery, commitment, and dedication of young individuals who have made significant progress in their careers, personal development and contributions to society. William, who has been a Patron of Centrepoint since 2005, is one of the award presenters for the evening.

Other presenters include Lady Kitty Spencer, West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen, radio and TV presenter Yinka, her actor brother Kola Bokinni, actor Tosin Cole, and BBC Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough, reports the Express. The star-studded lineup also includes performances from Rag’n’Bone Man and Beverley Knight. During tonight’s event, which is supported by Nationwide Building Society, the future king will spend some time meeting this year’s finalists and chat with them about the enormous challenges they’ve overcome before achieving amazing things, showing just how much young people can achieve with the right support. Later in the evening, he will give a speech before presenting the awards to the six winners. The awards cover six key success areas: The Rising Star Award, backed by Nationwide Building Society, honours those who have made significant progress in their careers. The Centrepoint Partners Award recognises the extent of youth homelessness across the nation and the remarkable efforts of young individuals and charities to put an end to it once and for all. The Educational Excellence Award, supported by Amy Lam, acknowledges young people who have shown exceptional dedication to their academic endeavours.

The Inspirational Award is a celebration of those whose actions and accomplishments have deeply inspired others. The Personal Development Award, sponsored by Coventry Building Society, pays tribute to those who have shown growth in their personal lives. The Independent Living Award, backed by the Clarkson Foundation, honours those who have achieved considerable independence despite facing personal or societal challenges. Centrepoint assists 1625 year olds by offering safe accommodation and additional support to help them regain their independence.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
