Privacy NoticePrincess Kate’s brother has revealed the moment he knew sister was in love with Prince William – and how he felt “reassured” about her engagement to Prince William. James Middleton, 37, said there was a ‘terrific buzz’ across the UK over rumours Kate and William, both 42, were set to tie the knot. But before an official announcement was made, he recalled how his sister sat him and sister Pippa, 41, down in a quiet corner of a village pub in Bucklebury, Berks, in November 2010 to “whisper” the news to her siblings. And following the official announcement, James said he was taking a stroll around Battersea Park, south west London, when he realised that in his sister Kate’s case, this was true love, says The Mirror. He reveals in his new book, a memoir entitled, Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life: “I thought how lucky William was to be marrying my capable, down-to-earth big sister, and I felt absolutely reassured that they were in love.

“It was beautiful to see how he brought out her confidence. She’d blossomed. I knew he’d look after her, and he does to this day.” James also opened up about his own struggles with mental health, confessing candidly in its pages that he “pushed” away his sister the Princess of Wales, during his darkest days. The businessman, who has previously credited his late dog Ella as his lifeline, admitted that at points he was on the brink of suicide – but would not even answer calls from Kate or their family.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
