Privacy Notice Piers Morgan poses with royal Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, labelling her “My favourite Duchess” to his followers on social media. Taking to his Instagram, the presenter posted a picture of himself and Sarah grinning from ear to ear. Piers recently slammed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, calling them “spoilt brats” for releasing news about their new show shortly after an update on Kate’s health was made public. In his latest Uncensored column, the former Good Morning Britain presenter remarked: “The gap was only 100 minutes, but it might as well have been 100 light years.” He pointed out that Princess Kate shared a heartfelt video discussing her cancer journey at 4.29pm on Monday, while Netflix dropped a teaser for the Sussexes’ upcoming Polo documentary series at 6.09pm the same day.

Piers, 59, added: “Of course, it may just have been a stupendous coincidence but if you believe that, then I’ve got some very dodgy old Ford Cortinas to sell you.” In 2021, Piers named Sarah as one of the royals who supported him after he quit Good Morning Britain over his row about Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. He spoke out about the ordeal and the alleged subsequent text message he received from the Duchess of York in his Mail on Sunday column. The TV personality claimed: “‘People have said how much they miss your morning joy and humour,’ texted Sarah, Duchess of York, ‘get back out there!’ “Perhaps we should start a new breakfast show together… ‘Morgy and Fergie in the Morning’, anyone?” It was recently reported that Sarah was approached by the BBC to appear in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing 20th anniversary special – but has turned it down. An “source” told The Express that Sarah, 64, was approached by the BBC several months ago, wanting to make her a star signing to the ballroom competition.

“It was turned down immediately and no discussions took place, as the Duchess doesn’t consider reality TV offers,” the source said. Despite the Duchess rejecting reality television, Sarah has made several appearances on popular shows. She even tried her hand at hosting ITV’s This Morning last year, which divided opinion when she landed her role as a guest presenter on the daytime magazine show.
