Privacy NoticeA new provocative documentary airing on Channel 4 will depict Queen Camilla in a light akin to Prince Harry’s “wicked stepmother”, and it’s forecasted to stir considerable debate, sources claim. The original broadcast date was reportedly delayed due to King Charles facing health issues with his cancer diagnosis, but is now set to “make waves” once it airs. According to sources, the programme will cast Camilla as someone who has been curating her image for 30 years, and Channel 4 is preparing for the storm it may unleash, especially within the walls of Buckingham Palace. Rumours hint the film might suggest that Queen Elizabeth II had reservations about Camilla becoming queen and seems set to take Prince Harry’s side. Speaking to The Sun, a source claimed: “This is very much a pro-Harry, anti-Camilla documentary. It presents him and Meghan as victims of the family’s unkindness. It’s going to cause serious waves – and Channel 4 know it. They know this is hugely controversial. A lot of people aren’t going to like it, especially at Buckingham Palace.”

The talked-about documentary, reportedly titled Camilla: Harry’s ‘Wicked’ Stepmother?, is likely to hit the screens soon, reports the Scottish Daily Express. Buzz around the documentary film suggests that Harry and his wife Meghan Markle were approached in California for their insights, but it has been claimed they refused to have anything to do with the project. A spokesperson for the Archewell foundation, representing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, stated: “Neither Duke or Duchess, nor their team, participated in the making of this documentary. We would safely like to assume it will state as such in the show.” A Channel 4 spokesperson confirmed the documentary would focus on Camilla’s biography and background, but a broadcast date has not been set. In excerpts from his autobiography Spare, Prince Harry revealed he and his brother Prince William had urged their father, King Charles III, not to marry Camilla due to concerns about media leaks.

In the memoir, Prince Harry described how he and Prince William struggled to accept Camilla as their stepmother after their mother Princess Diana’s death in Paris in . Although they eventually gave their reluctant approval, Prince Harry claimed Camilla was the source of media leaks, including one about her first meeting with Prince William. Prince Harry also recounted the tension during their early encounters, comparing it to the anxiety of getting a needle injection. He also recalled Camilla appearing bored during conversations about horses and wondering if she would become his “wicked stepmother”.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
