The Princess of Wales spilled the beans on William’s habit back in 2018 during a visit to an RAF base in Cyprus. While they were there to spread festive cheer among the personnel stationed away from home, and to unveil a new recreation facility, William couldn’t help but comment on the room’s aesthetics, cautioning: “Keep the pizza off the sofas”. However, Kate playfully exposed his own messy tendencies by retorting: “You’re a nightmare with that!”.

The Royal pair are known for enjoying an occasional takeaway, Kate revealed during a candid chat on BBC Radio 1 in 2017. When quizzed about whether the royals order in, Kate said: “Absolutely, and curry, definitely!” She also let slip that they usually pick up their orders rather than having them delivered to the palace, humorously adding “not ourselves!”. While Kate has a penchant for spicy food, William isn’t quite as adventurous with his palate. In a conversation with former footballer Peter Crouch on his podcast in 2020, William confessed that he is “not a vindaloo man, put it that way”, preferring a milder chicken masala instead. And like many of us, he also confessed he struggles to decide what to go for when choosing a takeaway. “It’s a real conundrum when it comes to it. Pizza, curry, or Chinese,’ he admitted, reports the Mirror.

It’s not the first time Prince William has shared his favourite meals. He has revealed that he is is quite partial to Nandos, in the BBC documentary Football, Prince William and Our Mental Health. He cracked a joke during the documentary, which aired in May 2020, saying: “Everyone loves a Nando’s,” and revealing that it had been some time since his last cheeky Nandos. He added: “In fact, the policeman who’s on with me again [today], he’s the one who gets me the Nando’s the whole time. It’s his fault.” Meanwhile, William revealed that Covid fears stopped him going to the Paris Olympics this summer, but he said that his family was glued to the action. William met 2024 Olympians Adam Peaty and Tom Dean, and Paralympians Maisie Summers-Newton and Louise Fiddes, as he visited at Birtley Community Pool in Gateshead on Thursday, 3 October. Apparently referring to Peaty’s positive Covid test during the Olympics, he said: “I was so keen to come but, I have to say, after reading someone’s interview about Covid I decided, because my wife was obviously having chemo, that I didn’t want to risk bringing Covid home. “So Adam very kindly reminded me that was still a thing. But we watched the whole thing. We were glued to it every day.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
