The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan Markle, gave their followers a treat with a heart-warming family photo on their 2021 Christmas card. The release not only showed off the first picture of Lilibet, born in June 2021 but also gave us a peek at Archie with his charming red locks, a perfect match to his father’s. Not just a picture-perfect moment, the card included a heartfelt ‘Happy Holidays’ from Harry and Meghan themselves. But there was an extra bit of cuteness: the revelation that Harry is not simply called dad or daddy – he’s actually called Papa by his two children.

In the heartfelt message, they penned: “This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a ‘Mama’ and a ‘Papa’, and Lili made us a family.” Calling the parents ‘Papa’ and ‘Mama’ seems to be a bit of a royal tradition, reports the Mirror. When King Charles paid homage to his late father Prince Philip in April 2021, he fondly termed him his “dear papa”, connecting to that endearing term. Harry himself has been spotted using ‘Pa’ as a sweet shorthand when referring to his father Charles. The delightful snap gracing the family’s message is credited to photographer Alexi Lubomirski and was snapped at Harry and Meghan’s California residence during summer 2021. It shows Meghan beaming as she holds Lilibet, who is know three years old, as grins back at her adoringly. The family opted for a relaxed look with Harry, Meghan, and Archie dressed down in jeans, and little Lilibet looking adorable in a crisp white ensemble. Fans have been quick to comment on Archie’s striking red hair, drawing comparisons to his father Harry’s famous ginger locks. One fan gushed on Twitter: “Look at Archie! Adorable. Looks like Lilibet will have red hair too. Beautiful.” Another was all smiles, posting: “OMG Archie’s hair is making my day.” Lilibet didn’t go unnoticed either, with several admirers noting the resemblance between her and her mother, particularly their noses.
