Privacy NoticePrince William has been spotted back on Royal duties today, sporting a different look. The future King attended a community event hosted by the NFL Foundation, which supports young people in some of the UK’s most deprived areas through flag football – a non-contact version of American football. Upon his arrival in London, William, 42, met with representatives from the NFL and even tried his hand at throwing an American football and participating in some football-inspired games with the children. However, it was William’s outfit that caught the attention of Royal fans. He paired his signature suit and shirt with an open-neck collar and a pair of trendy white trainers. William is also still sporting his beard, which first appeared over the summer and seems set to stay.

Royal fans were impressed by William’s trendy look
Commenting on X, which used to be called Twitter, many royal fans seemed to love the new trendy look, with one saying: “Think he’ll be a “cool” king. Will he rock up to his coronation wearing them” while another added: “Yaay wonderful surprise.” However, given the sporting nature of the event, one fan pointed out: “What shoes did you expect him to wear? “, reports the Mirror. Prince William made a special appearance at the NFL Foundation event, marking its three-year anniversary in the UK. The foundation has been running community programmes across London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds, with American football gaining increasing popularity since matches started being held in London in 2007. During his visit, William had the chance to meet Louis Rees-Zammit, a former Welsh rugby player who now plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Phoebe Schecter, the first British female coach in the NFL who has represented Team GB in both Flag and Tackle football. This marks William’s first public outing since he and wife Kate carried out their first joint engagement of the year following her cancer treatment.

Last week, Kate, who completed her chemotherapy treatment over the summer, joined William on an unannounced trip to Southport. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the emergency workers who responded to the tragic Southport stabbings, after meeting with the bereaved families of the young victims. The couple spent time with the families of Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine – all tragically killed during a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on July 29 in Southport, as well as the children’s dance teacher. After spending half an hour with each family, they walked a short distance to the Southport Community Centre where they met with the emergency responders involved in the incident to hear about their experiences. The Prince and Princess of Wales took to their social media platforms following their visit, penning a heartfelt message: “We continue to stand with everyone in Southport. Meeting the community today has been a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting one another in the wake of unimaginable tragedy. You will remain in our thoughts and prayers.
