Everything our beauty editor will be buying this Prime Day (Image: Laura Mulley)As a beauty editor, I’m fortunate to receive numerous products for testing and reviewing. However, there are certain beauty essentials that I consistently use and repurchase – and with Amazon Prime’s Big Deal Days, along with sales at other retailers, I’ll be shopping today to save as much money as possible. Amazon’s final major sale event before Black Friday may officially be over, but there are hundreds of fantastic beauty deals from renowned brands such as Medik8, ghd and The Ordinary still running. This means it’s an excellent opportunity to replenish some old (or new) favourites while saving money in the process, reports the Mirror. Here’s what’s already in my shopping basket, and how much I’ll be saving by proceeding to checkout today… READ MORE: ‘I’m a beauty expert and there’s 4 Medik8 deals I couldn’t wait to shop this Prime Day’ READ MORE: Calvin Klein’s ‘long lasting’ perfume that ‘always gets compliments’ slashed by 74% for Amazon Prime Day Medik8 Crystal Retinal Originally £49, now £39.20 – SAVE £9.80

All strengths of Medik8 Crystal Retinal are currently discounted on Amazon, making them more affordable than at other retailers including Sephora, LookFantastic, and Medik8’s own website. The exact discount varies between the strengths ranging from 20%-24% off with the one I currently use (Crystal Retinal 3, a good starting point for skin that’s not overly sensitive) reduced from £49 to £39.20. It enhances my skin’s clarity, brightness, and plumpness and I’ll definitely be stocking up. Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara Originally £12.99, now £8.90 – SAVE £4.09

This Maybelline mascara is a viral hit and a favourite among beauty editors. It lengthens, lifts, separates and crucially, doesn’t flake or smudge all day long. This unique serum first went viral during lockdown and has remained a massive hit ever since. I’ve yet to try it myself, as I have a cupboard full of serums and essences to get through first, but after seeing beauty influencer Jamie Genevieve recently rave about it and the dewy look it gives to skin, I’ve added it to my basket today – especially now that almost half price on Amazon, down from £23.99 to just over £10. Pureology Hydrate Sheer Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner Duo Set Was £45.55, now £37 – SAVE £8.55

When I spotted the Pureology Hydrate range on Amazon’s Prime Day Deals page, I added it to my basket straight away. Sure, a pair of straighteners isn’t an everyday purchase, but if you’re in the market for a new set, these Remington ones are a steal. I’ve tested them myself after noticing their popularity last Prime Day and trust me, they’re worth every penny. They glide effortlessly over your hair without any tugging or pulling, and you’ll only need a couple of passes to achieve sleek, shiny locks. They banish frizz without leaving your hair feeling fried or overheated. Definitely one to consider. The INKEY List Makeup Prep 101 Was £30, now £15 – SAVE £15

And it’s not just Amazon that’s offering massive discounts today; LookFantastic has launched its own Big Beauty Takeover, with savings of 25% and more on many of its top-selling products including this The Ordinary skincare set. I’ll be honest, I’m still deciding whether to gift it or keep it for myself as a way to stock up on three of my favourite The Ordinary products: a creamy cleanser, a depuffing eye cream and a brightening serum.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
