Britain’s Got Talent’s final will take place one week after Ant’s first live TV appearance since the birth of his son earlier this month. The presenter, 48, became a dad for the first time last week after welcoming baby Wilder into the world with wife Anne-Marie. Announcing his baby joy on Instagram, Ant wrote: “Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. “Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!” While Ant is a first-time dad, he is already stepfather to Anne-Marie two daughters – Poppy and Daisy – from her previous marriage to Scott Corbett. The couple split up in 2017. Britain’s Got Talent will mark Ant’s return to TV since the birth of his son, however he’s already returned to work with the presenter attending The Prince’s Trust Awards with Dec on Tuesday. The pair hit the red carpet at the Theatre Royal in London’s Drury Lane before hosting the ceremony.

They were amongst stars such as Martin Freeman, Roman Kemp, Ellie Simmonds, Stephen Graham and Damian Lewis, who attended to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the awards. BGT’s live shows will see the many Golden Buzzer acts take to the stage once again to perform in the semi-finals – including Ravi’s Dream Team, a choir led by an eight-year-old boy with a brain tumour. Ravi and his choir reduced judge Alesha Dixon to tears with their emotional performance of A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman, during which she fast-tracked them to the live shows. Speaking about why he chose to audition, Ravi said: “I’ve watched BGT all my life and always wanted to audition for it. Two years ago I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and I’m here to show no matter what life throws at you, you can still achieve your dreams.” Britain’s Got Talent continues on Saturday at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
