Privacy NoticeBritain’s Got Talent fans were rather confused after the latest audition episode wrapped up rather unexpectedly on Saturday (25 May) night. The final act of the evening was none other than Magician’s Assemble a supergroup of magicians who’ve graced the BGT stage before. The ensemble featured returning talents Ben Hart, Colin Cloud, and Elizabeth The Haunting, but oddly, they weren’t formally introduced or given any remarks from the judging panel. In a surprising turn, the trio enlisted Simon Cowell to participate in their act, blindfolding him and then making him vanish in a puff of confetti, leaving the audience and judges in utter disbelief. The studio was suddenly shrouded in darkness, prompting a concerned Amanda Holden to exclaim, “Where is Simon? ” as the show abruptly ended, rolling credits and teasing Simon’s mysterious disappearance for Sunday’s episode.

Britain’s Got Talent viewers puzzled after latest golden buzzer
Viewers at home were left baffled by the sudden ending. Taking to X, previously known as Twitter, one fan wrote: “Wait what …. It’s just ended! ! Where’s Simon, did the magicians get through!! WTF.” While another quipped: “No but where has Simon gone? Can I be the next judge?”, reports Wales Online. And a third penned: “Little behind but I’m confused… Did the magic group that vanished Simon get through? It just cut off without a vote so what happened? Did I blank and miss something?” While it’s yet to be seen if the magicians have made it through the audition process, fans won’t have to wait long for the semi-finals to kick off next week, before the grand final which will take place on Sunday 2 June.

It’s thought that next year’s edition of the talent show could take a somewhat different format to this series, with ITV bosses said to be considering giving the show a huge cash boost – rumoured to be worth around £100 million. They are also reportedly planning to make the series longer. In recent years, the show has run for around six to seven weeks from mid-April to the beginning of June, but the new plan is for BGT to start in February and be on air for three months. This would fill the gap left by the end of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, and the cash injection would be used to make the show bigger and possibly even better than their competitor Strictly Come Dancing.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
