Privacy NoticeMonday night (27 May) saw the Britain’s Got Talent live semi-finals kick-off, with Sunday night’s final set to see one act crowned champion. And while there are certainly a number of talented acts taking part in this year’s series, one comedy duo left fans rather unimpressed. Bikoon, a rather bizarre act that sees a moving bag complete tricks, left fans rather bored, especially when some of the tricks appeared to go wrong. A number of viewers took to X, previously known as Twitter, to share their thoughts. One wrote: “How much longer has this show got left? They’ve resorted us to watching a bag attempting to jump through a hoop five times #bgt #BritainsGotTalent.”

“WTAF have I just watched. Is this meant to be talent. A man and a bag. Was it meant to be funny? It was as appealing as cold custard. Appalling. #BGT #BritainsGotTalent #Bikoon,” added another. While a third penned: “Nah why hasnt the judges pressed the buzzers?! Bikoon is awful. Its just a guy in the bag. I could do it. #britainsgottalent #bgt.” The first live semi-final also saw host Ant McPartlin return to work for the first time since the birth of his son Wilder two weeks ago. The TV personality, who welcomed baby Wilder into the world with wife Anne-Marie on Tuesday, 14 May, beamed from ear to ear as he returned to his Britain’s Got Talent presenting duties alongside close pal and co-host Declan Donnelly. Fans at home welcomed 48 year old Ant’s return to work with open arms and many took to X to praise the TV presenter’s appearance on the ITV show. One wrote: “Simon congratulating Ant becoming a dad and the birth of his baby boy and he’s happy for him #BGT #Britainsgottalent.”

“Ant’s first time on live TV since the birth of his child and he’s happier than ever #BGT,” added another. While a third penned: “Simon saying congrats to ant and him having the biggest smile my heart #bgt.” The semi-finals have kicked off following reports that next year’s edition of the talent show could take a somewhat different format to this series, with ITV bosses said to be considering giving the show a huge cash boost – rumoured to be worth around £100 million. They are also reportedly planning to make the series longer. In recent years, the show has run for around six to seven weeks from mid-April to the beginning of June, but the new plan is for BGT to start in February and be on air for three months. This would fill the gap left by the end of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, and the cash injection would be used to make the show bigger and possibly even better than their competitor Strictly Come Dancing.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
