Ravi and his ‘Dream Team’ consisting of friends, family, teachers and medical professionals were awarded a Golden Buzzer by tearful Alesha Dixon after their magical audition. Ravi took to the stage and almost brought the judges to tears when he said: “I’ve watched BGT all my life and always wanted to audition for it. Two years ago I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and I’m here to show no matter what life throws at you, you can still achieve your dreams.” Now they are taking to the stage in the hope of reaching the Britain’s Got Talent final on Sunday 2 June. Speaking to OK! Ravi looked back over his audition and explained: “It was a lot of fun with all these friends and family with us.”

However, for his mum, Bethan, and the rest of the adults on the stage – auditioning was slightly more nerve-wracking. “We were terrified! The whole thing was Ravi’s idea and most of us on the stage are very uncomfortable in that position. But we’re doing it for a good cause and because it is what he wants to do.” Bethan continued: “From my point of view, it’d be nice to have a small break from crazy projects, but Ravi keeps on coming up with these wild ideas,” she says. “So we will see where this journey takes us.”

Ravi’s mum explained she was more nervous than her son

Ravi was the one who wanted to audition for Britain’s Got Talent, not only did he choose the song, but if he wins, he decides where the money goes. “It was one of my favourite songs at the time of my diagnosis, so it’s been a song that’s come with us on an amazing journey. “We would definitely take the choir out for a very special day. But the rest would be split evenly between The Brain Tumour Charity and Brainstrust so I can complete my fundraising goal of £250,000.”

Innocent went straight through to Sunday night’s final

As he got through, host Dec told Innocent: “What a year you’re having, the audition we saw you back in January, your wedding and now here you are, the winner of tonight’s semi-final. What a special time.” Innocent replied: “This is my year, I’m so happy and I’m ready. I am ready for Sunday. I hope you are ready as well.” Will Ravi’s Dream Team make it through and join Innocent in the Britain’s Got Talent final? Britain’s Got Talent continues tonight at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
