Privacy NoticeSwifties up and down the country are preparing to sing their hearts out as Taylor Swift returns to the stage at London’s Wembley Stadium this week. The American singer will be rounding off the European leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour with five final UK shows. Having been an honorary Londoner, Taylor’s known for having a soft spot for the capital, weaving shout-outs to Brixton, Shoreditch, and Hackney into her 2019 hit, ‘London Boy’. Elsewhere, the Black Dog pub in Vauxhall is understood to be the inspiration behind her recent track of the same name. But another, rather unexpected London spot loved by Taylor Swift is the Kentish Delight Kebab Shop. This north-west London gem made a brief appearance in Taylor’s music video for ‘End Game’ all the way back in 2017.

Once the cameras stopped rolling, Taylor reportedly treated herself to a spicy £7.50 chicken kebab with extra chilli, leading the shop to create a kebab in her honour. The ‘Swift Kebab’ featured garlic, turmeric, paprika as well as a mystery ingredient. The love affair didn’t end there; Taylor’s made a few casual pit stops at Kentish Delight since, and the proud owners aren’t shy about showing off a cheeky photo or two of her visit, reports the Mirror. TikTok user Emily Talbut made a pilgrimage to the kebab shop last year, explaining in the caption: “Taylor Swift filmed at this kebab shop for her endgame music video, so we HAD to take a visit.
“The guy working there said she actually came a lot before the video as it was her boyfriend’s favourite and that she was so lovely every time. #taylorswift #londonboy #swiftie #londonlife #londontiktok #swifties.” Speaking to the BBC earlier this year, Ahmed Khan, the owner of Kentish Delight, shared that Taylor and her team placed an order worth “about £100” primarily made up of chicken kebabs before one of her June concerts. “From Taylor Swift, we get many, many orders,” he said, adding that he’s “very happy” to be considered Taylor’s “favourite” kebab spot. The American superstar is set to grace the Wembley stage, marking the conclusion of her tour’s European leg. After her initial visit to London in June, Taylor dazzled fans across Zurich, Milan, and Paris. The London shows will be her first since she was recently forced to cancel her Vienna shows because of a foiled terror plot.
